A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE,
TEXAS APPOINTING DIRECTORS TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
PROPOSED WESTLAKE DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION; AUTHORIZING THE TOWN
ATTORNEY TO PREPARE ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION AND RELATED DOCUMENTS
WITH REGARD TO THE WESTI,AKE DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION AND FILING THE
ARTICLES WITH THE SECRETARY OF STATE; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the electorate of the Town of Westlake has approved
the implementation of an additional one-half cent sales and use tax
pursuant to the provisions of Section 4B of article 5190.6, the
Development Corporation Act of 1979 (the "Act"); and
WHEREAS, the Act requires that the additional sales and use
tax be turned over to a development corporation for the purpose of
spending such funds on any project approved pursuant to the
provisions of the Act; and
WHEREAS, the Act requires that seven individuals be named by
the Board to the Board of Directors of a development corporation
created by the Town; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDMU4EN OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1: That the following individuals are hereby
appointed as the initial directors to.the Board of Directors of the
Westlake Development Corporation:

Abe Bush, Jr.
SECTION 2: That the Town Attorney is hereby directed to
prepare the articles of incorporation for the Westlake Development
Corporation and file the same with the Secretary of State's office,
and to prepare the bylaws and any other organizational documents in
connection with forming the Corporation.
SECTION 3: That this resolution shall become effective upon
its approval and passage.
