WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth is presently pursuing a comprehensive development
program to upgrade the Fort Worth Alliance Airport, including extension of the runway from
9,600' to 13,000' to accommodate aircraft to serve the longer -range European, Asian and Pacific
Rim Markets, and
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth has prepared an Airport Layout Plan, conducted an
Environmental Assessment and has submitted a Grant Application to the Federal Aviation
Administration for participation in the improvements related to the extension of the Fort Worth
Alliance Airport runway; and
WHEREAS, the extension of the runway would necessitate the relocation of the Atchison,
Topeka and Santa Fe Mainline and FM 156, and construction of two grade -separated rail
crossinbs at FM 156 and SH 114 to accommodate the rail relocation; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Westlake, Texas concurs in the need for major improvements
to the Fort Worth Alliance Airport such as the runway extension and recognizes the economic
benefits to the Dallas -Fort Worth Metroplex area and the State from such an extension;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Town of Westlake, Texas supports
the work of the City of Fort Worth, and supports the improvements necessitated by the proposed
runway extension, relocation of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe rail line, relocation of FM
156, and construction of the grade -separated rail crossing at FM 156 and SH 114, and
encourages the Federal Aviation Administration to commit to the funding and expeditious
handling of these projects.

Being 0.029 of an acre of land, more or less, situated in the C. Medlin Survey, Abstract 823,
Denton County, Texas and being a portion of that certain 10.0000 acre tract of land conveyed
to Independent American Development Corporation by deed as recorded in Volume 2441, Page
191, Real Property Records of the Denton County, Texas; said 0.029 of an acre being more
particularly described by metes and bounds as follows:
COMMENCING at a% inch iron rod found in the easterly property line of said 10.0000 acre
tract of land being the existing westerly right of way line of Trophy Club Drive;
THENCE South 19 degrees 58 minutes 22 seconds West along the existing westerly right of way
line of Trophy Club Drive for a distance of 73.78 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING of the
herein described tract of land;
1) 'THENCE South 19 degrees 58 minutes 22 seconds West continuing along said existing
westerly right of way line for a distance of 76.53 feet to a point in the existing northerly
right of way line of State Highway 114;
2) THENCE North 68 degrees 52 minutes 19 seconds West along the existing northerly right
of way line of State Highway 114 for a distance of 75.53 feet to a point in the new
northerly right of way line of State Highway 114 being the beginning of a curve to the left;
3) THENCE along said new northerly right of way line in a northeasterly direction along said
curve to the left having a radius of 75.00 feet, a central angle of 91 degrees 09 minutes 18
seconds, an arc distance of 119.32 feet, a beginning tangent bearing of South 68 degrees
52 minutes 19 seconds East and a chord which bears, North 65 degrees 33 minutes 01
seconds East, a distance of 107.13 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING, and containing an
area of 0.029 of an acne of land, more or less.
