This is an “equity ownership” charge to buy into the system. Upper Trinity has suggested that this fee may be waived due to the amount of proposed capital investment (waterline construction) the Town will make. If Equity fee is not waived, this will result in an additional cost of $177,622/MGD. Westlake’s equity fee, based on 2.0 MGD, will cost $355,244. This may be spread over a 5-year period, with interest, at $82,520 per year.
