BOARD OF ALDERMEN MEETING
AGENDA
FEBRUARY 27, 2006

1. EXECUTIVE SESSION
A. The Board will conduct a closed session under Texas Government Code section
551.071 to seek advice of counsel on legal matters involving pending or
contemplated litigation, settlement offers, or other legal matters not related
directly to litigation or settlement. Pending or contemplated litigation and
settlement offers include but are not limited to the following:
i. City of Roanoke v. Town of Westlake, Cause No. 02 -01 -00290 -CV (Second
Court of Appeals)
ii. Town of Westlake v. City of Roanoke (Johnny's Automotive tract), Cause No.
2003-20243-158 (158th Judicial District Court of Denton County, Texas)
B. The Board will conduct a closed session under Texas Government Code section
551.074 to discuss personnel matters.
C. The Board will conduct a closed session under Texas Government Code section
551.072 to discuss the purchase, exchange, lease, or value of real property.

4. PROCLAMATION — TOWN OF WESLAKE 50 -YEAR ANNIVERSARY
5. CITIZENS' PRESENTATIONS: This is an opportunity for citizens to address the
Board on any matter whether or not it is posted on the agenda. The Board cannot by law
take action nor have any discussion or deliberations on any presentation made to the
Board at this time concerning an item not listed on the agenda. Any item presented may
be noticed on a future agenda for deliberation or action.
6. CONSIDER A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO
ENTER INTO AN INTERLOCAL COOPERATION AGREEMENT WITH
DENTON COUNTY FOR FIRE PROTECTION SERVICES AND/OR
AMBULANCE SERVICE.
7. CONSIDER A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO
ENTER INTO AN INTERLOCAL PURCHASING AGREEMENT WITH THE
CITY OF BEDFORD AND APPROXIMATELY 15 OTHER SIGNATORY
CITIES.
8. CONSIDER AN ORDINANCE CALLING AND ORDERING AN ELECTION TO
BE HELD ON THE 13TH DAY OF MAY, 2006 FOR THE PURPOSE OF
ELECTING A MAYOR AND TWO ALDERMEN IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
PROVISIONS OF SECTION 23.023, TEXAS LOCAL GOVERNMENT CODE;
AND FOR THE PURPOSE OF DISSOLVING THE TOWN'S 4A
DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION AND INCORPORATING A V2 CENT AD
VALOREM TAX LESS THAN THE CURRENT RATE.
9. CONSIDER A RESOLUTION ALLOWING THE TOWN TO ENTER INTO A
JOINT ELECTION AGREEMENT WITH TARRANT COUNTY FOR THE
PURPOSE OF CONDUCTING A JOINT ELECTION DESIRABLE FOR VOTER
CONVENIENCE AND TO REDUCE THE OVERALL COST.
10. CONSENT AGENDA: All items listed below are considered routine by the Board of
Aldermen and will be enacted with one motion. There will be no separate discussion of
items unless a Board member or citizen so requests, in which event the item will be
removed from the general order of business and considered in its normal sequence.
A. Review and approve minutes of the regular meeting held on February 13, 2006.
B. Review and approve any outstanding bills.
