HomeMy WebLinkAbout01-05-98 TC AgendaTOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETING TO THE CITIZENS OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS: Notice is hereby given that the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas will meet at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, January 5, 1998, at the Marriott Solana, 5 Village Circle, in the Town of Westlake, Texas. The Board will open the meeting at 6:00 p.m. and recess into executive session. The Board will then reconvene into open session at 7:30 p.m. The Board will consider the following agenda: 1. Meeting called to order. 2. EXECUTIVE SESSION (6:00 p.m.): a. The Board will conduct a closed session under Chapter 551 of the Government Code to seek or receive its attorneys' advice with regard to pending or contemplated litigation involving the Town and Aldermen including, but not limited to the following: i. Hillwood Corporation, et at. vs. Scott Bradley, et al: ii. City of Roanoke vs. Town of Westlake; iii. Town of Westlake vs. City of Southlake; iv. Town of Westlake vs. City of Ft. Worth; Reconvene meeting at 7:30 p.m. 3. Consider and take action necessary with respect to any of the pending matters in item 92, above or other contemplated actions against parties involved in actions to destroy the Town. 4. Review and approve minutes of the regular meeting held on December 22, 1997, 5. Citizens' Presentations: This is an opportunity for citizens to address the Board on any matter whether or not it is posted on the agenda. The Board will not take action on any presentation made to the Board at this time concerning an item not listed on the agenda. 6. Review and approve any bills paid or unpaid. 7. JOINT PUBLIC HEARING of the Planning and Zoning Commission and the Board of Aldermen to consider amending the Comprehensive Plan to provide for the rezoning of the property located at 2175 and 2205 N. Pearson Lane from R-200 "Country Residential" to a PD "Planned Development District". 8. Consider amending the Comprehensive Plan to provide for the rezoning of the property located at 2175 and 2205 N. Pearson Lane from R-200 "Country Residential" to a PD "Planned Development District". 9. Consider adoption of an ordinance rezoning property located at 2175 and 2205 N. Pearson Lane from. R-200 "Country Residential" to a PD "Planned Development District". 10. JOINT PUBLIC HEARING of the Planning and Zoning Commission and the Board of Alderman to consider the site plan for the property located at 2175 and 2205 N. Pearson Lane submitted by Sherry Gray. 11. Consider the site plan for the property located at 2175 and 2205 N. Pearson Lane submitted by Sherry Gray. 12. Review and take action on developing a web site for the Town. 13. Consider and take action to become a member of the Texas Coalition of Cities on Franchised Utility Issues. 14. Consider and take action to join the International Municipal Lawyers Assoc. 15. Consider and take action to approve a maintenance agreement with Tarrant County for road repairs. ' 16. Select an elected official and appoint a technical person to serve on the new task force and to participate in the regional air duality forum being organized by the North Central Texas Council of Governments. 17, PUBLIC HEARING to consider and take action to adopt the revised Unified Development Code. 18, Other business: Discussion by the Board of Aldermen of items of importance and concern not listed on the agenda. No action or vote will be taken on any of these items. 19. Adjourn.
