NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING
TO THE CITIZENS OF THE: TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS
Upon application of Alderman Carroll Huntress. Alderman Al Oien and Alderman
Howard Dudley, a special meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake,
Texas has been called to be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5, 1997, at the
Westlake Town Hall, 3 Village Circle, Suite 207, Solana., in the Tovm of Westlake,
Texas, to consider the following agenda drafted by Alderman Carroll Huntress:
Mleeting called to order. -.y
2. Consider ordinance :fro. X to invalidate any and all prior annexations that
did not follow the Vernon Statutes for annexations in a General La} -v
Municipality. Those statutes require:
A) a petition to the Board of Aldermen fi-om the landowner or
landowners requesting annexation;
B) 2 public hearings required as stated in the .Statutes;
C) ordinance for the annexation, voted on by the Board of Aldermen and
passed by majority vote of the Board of Aldermen to annex requested
property.
3. Consider ordinance No. JX defining the Town's municipal boundaries,
declaring that all properties ti-'ithin these boundaries (as shown on Exhibit A)
to be the Town of ii'estlake, Texas; reflecting the Totvn 's corporate
boundaries as of the date of the passage of'this ordinance.
4. Adjournment

1 certify that the above notice was posted on the front door of the Town Hall of the Town
of Westlake, 3 Village Circle, Suite 207, Westlake, Texas, on Sunday, March 2, 1997, at
6:00 p.m., under the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551 of the Teras Government Code.

hold a Special Meeting at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, March 5, 1997, at the Westlake Town
