NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETING
TO TIM CITIZENS OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS:
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Teras will mit
at 7:110 p.m. on Monday, February 12, 1996 at the Westlake Town Hall, 3 Village Circle,
Shite 207, Solana, in. the Town of Westlake, Texas. The Board of Aldermen will consider the
following agenda:
1. Meeting called to order; approve the minutes of the January S, 1996 regular
meeting.
2. Citizens' Presentations: This is an opportunity for citizens to address the Board
on items not posted on the agenda. The Board will not take, action on any
presentations made to the Board at this time.
3. Consider an ordinance ,governing driveway access to freeway, arterial and,
collector roadways in the Town.
4. Consider an ordinance ordering an election to submit a proposition on the
question of the adoption of an additional sales and use tax at the rate of one-half
Of one percent under the provisions of Section 4A of the Development
Corporation Act of 1979, as amended (Art. 5190.6 of Vernon's Annotated
Revised Civil Statutes),
5. Approve and ratify a License Agreement with the North. Central Texas Council
of Governments (NTCOG) permitting the Town or its consultant to use
NTCOG's software programs for the development of the Town of Westlake's
revised master thoroughfare plan.
6. Consider adoption of a new logo for the Town and authorize the purchase of new
stationery for the Town (including without limitation envelopes and business
cards).
7. Consider adaption of a flood damage prevention ordinance.
8. Appoint a citizen to coordinate the selection of Westlake's Volunteer of the Year.
(The volunteer will be honored by the United Way of Metropolitan Tarrant
County at its 10th annual celebration.)
9. Report on status of the Northeast Tarrant County Regional Water Supply Study.
10. Report on the Texas Student Housing Corporation.
IL Other business: Discussion by Board of Aldermen on items of importance and
concern not listed on the agenda. No action or vote will be taken on any of these
items.
12. EXECUTIVE SESSION, The Board will conduct a closed session under Chapter
551 of the C Gv=ment Code to consult with its Attorney concerning pending or
contemplated litigation, as permitted by Section 551.071 of the Government
Code; to deliberate the purchase, exchange, lease or value of real property, as
permitted by Section 551.072 of the Government Code; and to discuss personnel
matters as permitted by Section 551.074 of the Government Code.
