HomeMy WebLinkAbout05-08-95 TC AgendaTOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETING TO THE CITIZENS OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS: Notice is hereby given that the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas will meet at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 8, 1995 at the Westlake Town Hall, 3 Village Circle, Suite 207, Solana, in the Town of Westlake, Texas. The Board of Aldermen will consider the following agenda: 1. Meeting called to order; approve the minutes of the April 10, 1995 regular meeting. 2. Citizens' Presentations: This is an opportunity for citizens to address the Board on items not posted on the agenda. The Board will not take action on any presentations made to the Board at this time. 3. Consider Ordinance canvassing the results of the May 6, 1995 election. 4. Administer oath of office to newly elected Aldermen. 5. Consider adoption of an Ordinance repealing the exemption of telecommunications services from the Town's local sales tax. 6. Consider an amendment to the Town's contract with the Town of Trophy Club concerning the provision of police services. 7. Consider calling an election to adopt an additional one-half cent sales tax for the Town. 8. Consider an interlocal agreement with the City of Southlake to share a sewer line to be placed in Kirkwood Branch and Higgins Branch. 9. Consider authorizing a regional stormwater detention study on Kirkwood Branch. 10. Consider adoption of a Special Building Permit Fees schedule. 11. Consider granting a variance from the Town's building height restriction to accommodate the construction of an observatory on Nathan Graves' home at 4110 Aspen Lane. 12. Consider initiating approach to the United States Postal Service for a facility in the Town of Westlake. 13. Other business: Discussion by Board of Aldermen on items of importance and concern not listed on the agenda. No action or vote will be taken on any of these items. 14. EXECUTIVE SESSION: The Board will conduct a closed session pursuant to Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code to consult with its Attorney and to discuss pending or contemplated litigation, as permitted by Section 551.071 of the Texas Government code; and to discuss personnel matters as permitted by Section 551.074 of the Texas Government Code. 15.
