HomeMy WebLinkAbout12-11-00 TC Agenda Notice of Board of Aldermen mee:_ o Pagel of 2 TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS ' NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETING W : = E TO THE CITIZENS OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS: Notice is hereby given that the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas, will meet at 6:00 p.m. on Monday,December 11, 2000, in Room 1 & 2 of the Education Center, 3 Village Circle, in the Town of Westlake, Texas. The Town residents and guests will join in a Holiday Celebration beginning at 6:00 p.m. The Board will open the meeting at 7:00 p.m. and recess into executive session. The Board will then reconvene into open session at 7:30 p.m. The Board will consider the following agenda: 1. Meeting called to order and announce a quorum. 2. EXECUTIVE SESSION. A. The Board will conduct a closed session under Texas Government Code section 551.071 to seek advice of counsel on legal matters involving pending or contemplated litigation, settlement offers, or other legal matters not related directly to litigation or settlement. Pending or contemplated litigation and settlement offers include but are not limited to the following: L City of Roanoke v. Town of Westlake, Cause No. 97-50250-367 (Denton County District Court) ii. Sherry Gray v. Henry Barry, et al., Cause No. 153-18458400 B. Reconvene into open meeting at 7:30 p.m. 3. Take necessary action with respect to any of the pending matters in Item#2 above. 4. Citizens` Presentations: This is an opportunity for citizens to address the Board on any matter whether or not it is posted on the agenda. The Board can not by law take action nor have any discussion or deliberations on any presentation made to the Board at this time concerning an item not listed on the agenda. Any item presented may be noticed on a future agenda for deliberation or action. 5, Consider a Resolution authorizing the Town Manager and Millennium Education Consulting Group, L.L.C. to complete a charter school application for a new public school in northeast Tarrant County called "Westlake Academy". 6. Consider a Resolution creating a nonprofit corporation (Texas Student Housing Corporation- San Marcos Project) pursuant to the Texas Education Code, approving articles of incorporation and bylaws for, and appointing the initial directors of, such corporation, appointing certain consultants, and resolving related matters. http://www.westlake-tx.org/agendas/ba121100.htm 12/08/2000 Notice of Board of Aldermen meet. Consider a Resolution creating a nonprofit corporation(Texas Student Housing Corporation- College Station Project) pursuant to the Texas Education Code, approving articles of incorporation and bylaws for, and appointing the initial directors of, such corporation, appointing certain consultants, and resolving related platters. 8. Consider a Resolution approving the sign application submitted by Fidelity Investments. 9. Presentation from Hillwood Development Corporation concerning the schedule and construction methods for Dove Road. 10. Consider an Ordinance amending Article VIII of the Engineering Standards and certain sections of Articles XIII, Subdivisions, and XVI, Definitions,of the Unified Development Code relating to Utility Duct Banks. 11. Consider an Ordinance regulating the location of businesses which derive more than seventy-five (75%) percent of their gross sales from the on-premise sale of alcoholic beverages within the Town. 12. Consent Agenda: All items listed below are considered routine by the Board of Aldermen and will be enacted with one motion. There will be no separate discussion of items unless a Board member or citizen so requests, in which event the item will be removed from the general order of business and considered in its normal sequence. A. Review and approve minutes of the regular meeting held on November 13, 2000. B. Review and approve any outstanding bills. 13. Adjournment. CERTIFICATION I certify that the above notice was posted on the front door of the Town Hall of the Town of Westlake, 3 Village Circle, Suite 207, Westlake,Texas, on Friday, December 8, 2000, at 5:00 p.m., under the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code.
