TO THE, CITIZENS OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS:

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas, will meet at 7:00
p. in. ori .l9[onday, July 10, 2000, in Suite 200, 3 Village Circle, in the Town of Westlake, Texas. The
Board will. open the meeting at 7:00 p.m. and recess into executive session. The Board will then
rccom ent. into open session at 7:30 p.m. The Board will consider the following agenda:
1. ! Ieeting called to order.
2. EXECUTIVE SESSION.
A. The Board will conduct a closed session under Texas Government Code section 551.071
to seek advice of counsel on legal matters involving pending or contemplated litigation,
settlement offers, or other legal matters not related directly to litigation or settlement.
Pending or contemplated litigation and settlement offers include but are not limited to
the following:
i. City of Roanoke v. Town of Westlake, Cause No. 97-50250-367 (Denton County
District Court)
ii. Competing applications of Town of Westlake and the City of Yeller for Certificate
of Convenience and Necessity, SOAH Docket Nos. 482-97-0134 and -0175
I3. Reconvene into open meeting at 7:30 p.m.
3. I'ake necessary action with respect to any of the pending matters in Item 42 above.
4. Review and approve minutes of the regular meeting held on June 26, 2000.
5.'itizens' Presentations: This is an opportunity for citizens to address the Board on any matter
wr.ether or not it is posted on the agenda. The Board can not by law take action nor have any
discussion or deliberations on any presentation made to the Board at this time concerning an
:teak not listed on the agenda. Any item presented may be noticed on a future agenda for
deliberation or action.
6. -:crisider a Resolution amending resolution No. 00-08 which established the Westlake Tree
City USA Advisory Committee to delete the Open Meetings Act requirement.
7, -crisider a Resolution appointing two members of the Planning and Zoning Commission for
-.wo year terms. (The incumbents are Allen Heath and Stan Parchman.)

8. Consider an Ordinance adopting the most current editions of the Uniform Building Code,
Llr..iforrn Mechanical Code and the National Electrical Code.
9. Pre-sentation from Kimley-Horn and Associates regarding a progress update on PD 3-1
0. -'crisider an Ordinance establishing water and wastewater rates.
1. Review and approve any outstanding bills.
