NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETING
TO THE CITIZENS OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS:

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas, will meet at 7:00
p.m. on Monday, May 8, 2000, in Suite 200, 3 Village Circle, in the Town of Westlake, Texas.
(Note location change.) The Board will open the meeting at 7:00 p.m. and recess into executive
session. The Board will then reconvene into open session at 7:30 p.m. The Board will consider the
following agenda:
1. Meeting called to order.
2. EXECUTIVE SESSION.
A. The Board will conduct a closed session under Texas Government Code section 551.071
to seek advice of counsel on legal matters involving pending or contemplated litigation,
settlement offers, or other legal matters not related directly to litigation or settlement.
Pending or contemplated litigation and settlement offers include but are not limited to
the following:
i. City of Roanoke v. Town of Westlake, Cause No. 97-50250-367 (Denton County
District Court)
ii. Competing applications of Town of Westlake and the City of Keller for Certificate
of Convenience and Necessity, SOAH Docket Nos. 482-97-0134 and -0175
B. Reconvene into open meeting at 7:30 p.m.
3. Take necessary action with respect to any of the pending matters in Item #2 above.
4. Review and approve minutes of the regular meeting held on April 24, 2000 and the special
meeting held on April 27, 2000.
5. Citizens' Presentations: This is an opportunity for citizens to address the Board on any matter
whether or not it is posted on the agenda. The Board can not by law take action nor have any
discussion or deliberations on any presentation made to the Board at this time concerning an
item not listed on the agenda. Any item presented may be noticed on a future agenda for
deliberation or action.
6. Consider a resolution affirming support for neutral tax treatment of internet purchases.

7. Consider a resolution recognizing the benefits of the Metroport Cities Partnership to member
Cities, and their respective Chambers of Commerce, School Districts and business partners;
documenting the many Metroport initiatives improving the transportation and mobility system
in our region; and recommending that the North Texas Commission award the Transportation
Excellence Award in Mobility to the Metroport Cities Partnership.
8. Consider a resolution recognizing the benefits of the Metroport Cities Partnership to member
Cities, and their respective Chambers of Commerce, School Districts and business partners;
documenting the many Metroport initiatives improving the transportation and mobility system
in our region; and recommending that the North Central Texas Council of Governments award
the 2000 Regional Cooperation award to the Metroport Cities Partnership.
9. Consider a resolution appointing members to the Board of Directors for the Westlake
Development Corporation.
10. Consider a resolution approving the recommended appointment of officers to the Board of
Directors of the Westlake Development Corporation.
11. Consider a resolution approving the expenditure of 4B sales tax funds in an amount not to
exced $32,000.00 to Perez/Freese & Nichols for the Town's Water and Wastewater Rate Study,
in furtherance of the economic development projects of the Town of Westlake as authorized in
Section 4B of the Texas Revised Civil Statutes, Ann. See. 5190.6.
12. Presentation from WB Resort Communities, L.P. concerning the work schedule projected for
PD 3-1.
13. Consider a resolution authorizing the Town Manager to enter into a contract with Metro Code
Analysis regarding plan review and building inspection services.
14. Consider an ordinance amending the Town's Engineering Standards to add a new Article VIII
Utility Duct Bank Facilities.
15. Review and approve any outstanding bills.
16. Adjournment.

Westlake, 3 Village Circle, Suite 207, Westlake, Texas, on Friday, May 5, 2000, at 5:00 p.m., under
the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code.

The Board of Aldermen may at any time convene into executive session as authorized by Chapter
5 51 of the Texas Government Code to discuss any item posted on the agenda.
