NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETING`
TO THE CITIZENS OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS:
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas, will meet at 7:00
p.m. on Monday, April 24, 2000, in Suite 200, 3 Village Circle, in the Town of Westlake, Texas.
(Note location change.) The Board will open the meeting at 7:00 p.m, and recess into executive
session. The Board will then reconvene into open session at 7:30 p.m. The Board will consider the
following agenda:
1. Meeting called to order.
2. EXECUTIVE SESSION.
A. The Board will conduct a closed session under Texas Government Code section 551.071
to seek advice of counsel on legal matters involving pending or contemplated litigation,
settlement offers, or other legal matters not related directly to litigation or settlement.
Pending or contemplated litigation and settlement offers include but are not limited to
the following:
i. City of Roanoke v. Town of Westlake, Cause No. 97-50250-367 (Denton County
District Court)
ii. Competing applications of Town of Westlake and the City of Keller for Certificate
of Convenience and Necessity, SOAH Docket Nos. 482-97-0134 and -0175
B. Reconvene into open meeting at 7:30 p.m.
3. Take necessary action with respect to any of the pending matters in Item 42 above.
4. Review and approve minutes of the regular meeting held on March 27, 2000.
5. Citizens' Presentations: This is an opportunity for citizens to address the Board on any matter
whether or not it is posted on the agenda. The Board can not by law take action nor have any
discussion or deliberations on any presentation made to the Board at this time concerning an
item not listed on the agenda. Any item presented may be noticed on a future agenda for
deliberation or action.
6. Present a plaque to Abe Bush, Jr. in appreciation of his service to the Town.
Introduce Kelly Bradley as the Volunteer of the Year for the Town - Ruby Held.

S. Consider an ordinance canceling the general election scheduled for May 6, 2000.
9. Consider a resolution authorizing the application for membership in the North Central Texas
Council of Governments.
10. Consider a resolution approving a revised contract for the Trophy Club/Westlake DPS.
11. Consider a resolution approving the financing of an emergency vehicle for the Trophy
Club/Westlake Department of Public Service.
12. Consider an ordinance amending certain sections of Article XIII, Subdivisions, and Article
XVI, Definitions, of the Unified Development Code relating to utility duct banks.
13. Consider an ordinance approving a franchise agreement with Millennium Telcom.
14. Consider an ordinance establishing a hotel occupancy tax for the Town.
15. Review and approve any bills, paid or unpaid.
16. Adjournment.

under the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code.

551 of the Texas Government Code to discuss any item posted on the agenda.
