E TO THE CITIZENS OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS: Notice is hereby given that the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas, will meet at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 13, 2000, in Suite 200, 3 Village Circle, in the Town of Westlake, Texas. (Note location change.) The Board will open the meeting at 7:00 p.m. and recess into executive session. The Board will then reconvene into open session at 7:30 p.m. The Board will consider the following agenda: 1. Meeting called to order. 2. EXECUTIVE SESSION. A. The Board will conduct a closed session under Texas Government Code section 551.071 to seek advice of counsel on legal matters involving pending or contemplated litigation, settlement offers, or other legal matters not related directly to litigation or settlement. Pending or contemplated litigation and settlement offers include but are not limited to the following: i. City of Roanoke v. Town of Westlake, Cause No. 97-50250-367 (Denton County District Court) ii. Town of Westlake v. Sherry Gray d/b/a Fennel Kure, discussion of pending and contemplated litigation regarding ordinance violations. iii. Competing applications of Town of Westlake and the City of Keller for Certificate of Convenience and Necessity, SOAH Docket Nos. 482-97-0134 and -0175 B. Reconvene into open meeting at 7:30 p.m. 3. Take necessary action with respect to any of the pending matters in Item #2 above. 4. Review and approve minutes of the regular meeting held on February 28, 2000. 5. Citizens' Presentations: This is an opportunity for citizens to address the Board on any matter whether or not it is posted on the agenda. The Board can not by law take action nor have any discussion or deliberations on any presentation made to the Board at this time concerning an item not listed on the agenda. Presentation from Dale Barstow of the Municipal Code Corporation and consider a resolution authorizing the Town Manager to enter into a contract with the Municipal Code Corporation to codify the Town's Ordinances. 7. Consider an ordinance declaring a vacancy on the Board of Aldermen and calling a special election to be held on May 6, 2000, to fill this seat. 8. Consider a resolution appointing Debra Heath as the Chairperson for the Westlake Tree City USA Advisory Committee. 9. Presentation from Jodi Ashby and Ronnie Engelbeck from the Town of Trophy Club regarding the Fourth of July celebration. 10. Presentation from the Town Attorney concerning the hotel/motel tax use. 11. Consider a resolution amending Resolution No. 00-02 to open the Westlake Historical Preservation Board to "all interested persons". 12. Review and approve any outstanding bills. 13. Adjournment.
