HomeMy WebLinkAbout04-22-02 TC AgendaNotice of Board of Aldermen mec,.__g Page I of 2 TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETING �'ES ASE TO THE CITIZENS OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS: Notice is hereby given that the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas, will meet at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 22, 2002, in the Education Center, Rooms 1 & 2 Village Circle, in the Town of Westlake, Texas. The Board will consider the following agenda: 1. Meeting called to order and announce a quorum at 7:00 p.m. 2. EXECUTIVE SESSION. A. The Board will conduct a closed session under Texas Government Code section 551.071 to seep advice of counsel on legal matters involving pending or contemplated litigation, settlement offers, or other legal matters not related directly to litigation or settlement. Pending or contemplated litigation and settlement offers include but are not limited to the following: i. City of Roanoke v. Town of Westlake, Cause No. 97-50250-367 (Denton County District Court) ii. Sherry Gray v. Henry Barry, et al., Cause No. 153-184584-00 B. Reconvene into open meeting at 7:30 p.m. 3. Take necessary action with respect to any of the pending matters in Item #2 above. 4. Citizens' Presentations: This is an opportunity for citizens to address the Board on any matter whether or not it is posted on the agenda_ The Board cannot by law take action nor have any discussion or deliberations on any presentation made to the Board at this time concerning an item not listed on the agenda. Any item presented may be noticed on a future agenda for deliberation or action. 5. Consider a Resolution ratifying a contract with HBC Engineering, Inc. to work on the new Townhall. 6. Consider a Resolution creating a nonprofit corporation pursuant to the Texas Education Code, approving articles of incorporation and bylaws, appointing the initial directors, appointing certain consultants, and resolving related matters. 7. Consider a Resolution appointing members to the Westlake Historical Preservation Board and assigning terms. 8. Consent Agenda: All items listed below are considered routine by the Board of Aldermen and will be enacted with one motion.
