TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS
NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETING
TO THE CITIZENS OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS:
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas, will meet at 7:00 p.m.
on Monday, April 8, 2002, in the Education Center, Rooms 1 & 2 Village Circle, in the Town of Westlake,
Texas. The Board will consider the following agenda:
1. Meeting called to order and announce a quorum at 7:00 p.m.
2. EXECUTIVE SESSION.
A. The Board will conduct a closed session under Texas Government Code section 551.071 to
seek advice of counsel on legal matters involving pending or contemplated litigation, settlement
offers, or other legal matters not related directly to litigation or settlement. Pending or
contemplated litigation and settlement offers include but are not limited to the following:
i. City of Roanoke v. Town of Westlake, Cause No. 97-50250-367 (Denton County District
Court)
ii. Sherry Gray v. Henl-y Barry, et al., Cause No. 153-184584-00
iii. Town of Westlake v. Town of Trophy Club, and Trophy Club Municipal Utility Districts Nos.
1 and 2., Cause No. 153-191410-02
B. Reconvene into open meeting at 7:30 p.m.
3. Take necessary action with respect to any of the pending matters in Item 42 above.
4. Citizens' Presentations: This is an opportunity for citizens to address the Board on any matter whether
or not it is posted on the agenda. The Board cannot by law take action nor have any discussion or
deliberations on any presentation made to the Board at this time concerning an item not listed on the
agenda. Any item presented may be noticed on a future agenda for deliberation or action.
5. Introduce Stephen Thornton as the Volunteer of the Year for the Town - Nina Brown.
6. Consider an Ordinance canceling the May 4, 2002, regular election and declaring each unopposed
candidate elected to office.
7. Consent Agenda: All items listed below are considered routine by the Board of Aldermen and
will be enacted with one motion. There will be no separate discussion of items unless a Board
member or citizen so requests, in which event the item will be removed from the general order of
business and considered in its normal sequence.
A. Review and approve minutes of the regular meeting held on March 25, 2002.
B. Review and approve minutes of the special meeting held on March 24, 2002.

C. Review and approve any outstanding bills.

Texas Government Code to discuss any item posted on the agenda.
