HomeMy WebLinkAbout02-25-02 TC AgendaNotice of Board of Aldermen me g Page 1 of 2 TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETING W� ATE TO THE CITIZENS OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS: Notice is hereby given that the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas, will meet at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, February 25, 2002, in the Education Center, Rooms 1 & 2 Village Circle, in the Town of Westlake, Texas. The Board will consider the following agenda: 1. Regular meeting called to order and announce a quorum at 5:30 p.m. 2. EXECUTIVE SESSION. A. The Board will conduct a closed session under Texas Government Code section 551.071 to seek advice of counsel on legal matters involving pending or contemplated litigation, settlement offers, or other legal matters not related directly to litigation or settlement. Pending or contemplated litigation and settlement offers include but are not limited to the following: i. City of Roanoke v. Town of Westlake, Cause No. 02-01-00290-CV(Second Court of Appeals) ii. Sherry Gray v, Henry Barry, et al., Cause No. 153-184584-00 iii. Town of Westlake v. Town of Trophy Club, and Trophy Club Municipal Utility Districts Nos. I and 2., Cause No. 153-191410-02 iv. Contemplated litigation with the State of Texas, relative to Town of Westlake, Texas coinbination tax and limited revenue Certificates of Obligation Series 2002. B. Reconvene into open meeting at 7:30 p.m. 3. Take necessary action with respect to any of the pending matters in Item #2 above. 4. Citizens' Presentations: This is an opportunity for citizens to address the Board on any matter whether or not it is posted on the agenda. The Board cannot by law take action nor have any discussion or deliberations on any presentation made to the Board at this time concerning an item not listed on the agenda. Any item presented may be noticed on a future agenda for deliberation or action. 5. Consider a Resolution accepting the Financial Statements for year ended September 30, 2001. 6. Consider a Resolution approving a revised Interlocal Agreement among Tarrant County, City of Keller, City of Southlake, Denton County and Town of Westlake concerning acquisition of right -of Zn way for the FM 1938 project. 7. Consider an amendment to an ordinance authorizing the Town to issue Certificates of Obligation. Consent Agenda: All items listed below are considered routine by the Board of Aldermen and will be enacted with one motion. There will be no separate discussion of items unless a Board member or citizen so requests, in which event the item will be removed from the general order of business and considered in its normal sequence. A. Review and approve minutes of the regular meeting held on February 11, 2002. B. Review and approve any outstanding bills. 10. Adjournment.
