NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETING
TO THE CITIZENS OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS:
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas, will meet at 7:00 p.m.
on Monday, December 10, 2001, in the Education Center, Rooms 1 & 2 Village Circle, in the Town of
Westlake, Texas. The Board will consider the following agenda:
1. Regular meeting called to order and announce a quorum at 7:00 p.m.
2. EXECUTIVE SESSION.
A. The Board will conduct a closed session under Texas Government Code section 551.071 to
seek advice of counsel on legal matters involving pending or contemplated litigation, settlement
offers, or other legal matters not related directly to litigation or settlement, fending or
contemplated litigation and settlement offers include but are not limited to the following:
i. City of Roanoke v. Town of Westlake, Cause No. 97-50250-367 (Denton County District
Court)
ii. Sherry Gray v. Henry Barry, et al., Cause No. 153-18458400
iii. Contemplated litigation between the Town of Westlake, Town of Trophy Club, and Trophy
Club Municipal Utility Districts Nos. 1 and 2.
iv. Contemplated litigation between the Town of Westlake and Tri-County Electric Coop.
B. Reconvene into open meeting at 7:30 p.m.
3. Take necessary action with respect to any of the pending matters in Item#2 above.
4. Citizens' Presentations: This is an opportunity for citizens to address the Board on any matter whether
or not it is posted on the agenda. The Board cannot by law take action nor have any discussion or
deliberations on any presentation made to the $oard at this time concerning an item not listed on the
agenda. Any item presented may be noticed on a future agenda for deliberation or action.
5. Consider a Resolution approving a budget amendment for(1) a Department of Public Safety
allocation for a 2000/2001 budget shortfall, (2) a budget amendment for advance funds for the Joint
Municipal Court and(3) establishing a Westlake Municipal Court Security Fund and a Technology
Fund.
6. Consider a Resolution approving an outdoor lighting plan request by Discovery Land for the Vaquero
residential development.
7. Consider a Resolution authorizing the Town Manager to enter into a :ontract for DPS services with
the Town of Trophy Club and the Trophy Club MUDS 1 &2.

8. Consider a Resolution directing the publication of notice of intention to issue certificates of obligation
for the Westlake Academy/Public Facilities improvements.
9. Consent Agenda: All items listed below are considered routine by the Board of Aldermen and will be
enacted with one motion. There will be no separate discussion of items unless a Board member or
citizen so requests, in which event the item will be removed from the general order of business and
considered in its normal sequence.
A. Review and approve minutes of the regular meeting held on November 26, 2001.
B. Review and approve any outstanding bills.
10. Surprise Resolution by the Town Manager.
11. Adj ournment.

Village Circle, Suite 207, Westlake, Texas, on Friday, December 7, 2001, at 5:00 p.m., under the Open
Meetings Act, Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code.

Texas Government Code to discuss any item posted on the agenda.
