NOTICE OF REGLTL.� MEETING
TO THE CITIZENS OF THE TOWN 0F WESTLAKE, TEXAS:
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas, will meet at 7:00 p.m.
on Monday, October 8, 2001, in the Education Center, Rooms 1 & 2 Village Circle, in the Town of
Westlake, Texas. The Board will consider the following agenda:
1. Regular meeting called to order and announce a quorum at 7:00 p.m.
2. EXECUTIVE SESSION.
A. The Board will conduct a closed s,:!ssion under Texas Government Code section 551.071 to
seek advice of counsel on legal m�itters involving pending or contemplated litigation, settlement
offers, or other legal matters not related directly to litigation or seWement. Pending or
contemplated litigation and settlen:tent offers include but are not limited to the following:
L City of Roanoke v. Town of Wes°lake, Cause No. 97-50250-367 (Denton County District
Court)
ii. Sherry Gray v. Henry Barry, et al., Cause No. 153-18458400
iii. Contemplated litigation between the Town of Westlake, Town of Trophy Club, and Trophy
Club Municipal Utility Districts NOs. 1 and 2.
B. The Board will conduct a closed s,::ssion under Texas Government Code section 551.074 to
discuss personnel matters.
C. Reconvene into open session at 7:30 p.m.
3. Take necessary action with respect to ani, of &ie pending matters in Item #2 above.
4. Citizens' Presentations: This is an opport mitt' for citizens to address the Board on any matter whether
or not it is posted on the agenda. The Board cannot by law take action nor have any discussion or
deliberations on any presentation made to the Board at this time concerning an item not listed on the
agenda. Any item presented may be noti;.ed on a future agenda for deliberation or action.
5. Consider a Resolution certifying the number of qualified registered voters signing the Petition calling
a local option election for the legal sale of wine for off -premise consu-�nbtion only.
6. Consider an Ordinance calling a local option election to consider for the sale of wine for off -premise
consumption only.
7. Consent Agenda: All items listed below erre considered routine by the Board of Aldermen and will be
enacted with one motion. There will be no separate discussion of items unless a Board member or
citizen so requests, in which event the item will be removed from the general order of business and
considered in its normal sequence.
