TO THE CITIZENS OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS:
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas, will hold a workshop at
6:00 p.m. on Monday, September 24, 2001 L-� Suite 207, 3 Village Circle, in the Town of Westlake, Texas.
The agenda is as follows:
1. Meeting called to order.
2. Discuss the alignment of FM 1938.
3. Adj ournment.

NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETING

TO THE CITIZENS OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXALS:
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas, will meet at 7:00 p.m.
on Monday, September 24, 2001, in the Education Center, Rooms 1 & 2 Village Circle, in the Town of
Westlake, Texas. The Board will consider the Eollowing agenda:
1. Regular meeting called to order and announce a quorum at 7:00 p.m.
2. EXECUTIVE SESSION.
A. The Board will conduct a closed sE,ssion under Texas Government Code section 551.071 to
seek advice of counsel on legal m,:,tters involving pending or contemplated litigation, settlement
offers, or other legal matters not r(:lated directly to litigation or settlement. Pending or
contemplated litigation and settlement offers include but are not limited to the following:
i. City of Roanoke v. Town of Wes ilake, Cause No. 97-50250-367 (Denton County District
Court)
ii. Sherry Gray v. Henry Barry, et gal., Cause No. 153-18458400
iii. Contemplated litigation betwe�: n the Town of Westlake, Town of Trophy Club, and Trophy
Club Municipal Utility Districts Nos. 1 and 2.
B. Reconvene into open meeting at 7:30 p.m.
3. Take necessary action with respect to any of the pending matters in Item #2 above.
4. Citizens' Presentations: This is an opportunity for citizens to address the Board on any matter whether
or not it is posted on the agenda. The Board cannot by law take action nor have any discussion or
deliberations on any presentation made t ,) the Board at this time concerning an item not listed on the
agenda. Any item presented may be noticed on a future agenda for deliberation or action.
5. Consider an Ordinance relating to electric franchise fee payments as calculated and paid under Texas
Utility Code §35.008 for existing franchisees.
6. Consider an Ordinance amending Ordin;..nee No. 395 to add a residential lot development fee
applicable to residential subdivisions co:ltaining any portion of the Town duct bank.
7. Consider a Resolution to appoint Akin, (lump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld, L.L.P., to represent the Town
in legal and legislative matters, particula.-1y before the Texas Legislature.
8. Consider a Resolution to amend the budget for FYE September 30, 2002, regarding the DPS line
item.

9. Consider a Resolution appointing Phylli_> McConnell and Barbara Griggs to the Tree City USA
Advisory Committee.
10. Consider a Resolution amending the bylaws of each entity organized by the Town of Westlake under
the Higher Education Authority Act to p(;rmit the program administrator to have check writing
authority and to make other changes regarding financial administration.
11. Consent Agenda: All items listed below .are considered routine by the Board of Aldermen and will be
enacted with one motion. There will be -j-.,.o separate discussion of items unless a Board member or
citizen so requests, in which event the iu m will be removed from the general order of business and
considered in its normal sequence.
A. Review and approve minutes of the r:gular meeting held on August 27, 2001.
B. Review and approve any outstanding bills.
12. Adj ournment.
