NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETING s
TO THE CITIZENS OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS:
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas, will meet at 7:00
p.m. on Monday, March 12, 2001, in Rooms 1 & 2 of the Education Center, 3 Village Circle, in the
Town of Westlake, Texas. The Board will open the meeting at 7:00 p.m. and recess into executive
session. The Board will then reconvene into open session at 7:30 p.m. The Board will consider the
following agenda:
1. Meeting called to order and announce a quorum.
2. EXECUTIVE SESSION.
A. The Board will conduct a closed session under Texas Government Code section 551.071 to
seek advice of counsel on legal matters involving pending or contemplated litigation,
settlement offers, or other legal matters not related directly to litigation or settlement.
Pending or contemplated litigation and settlement offers include but are not limited to the
following:
i. City of Roanoke v. Town of Westlake, Cause No. 97-50250-367 (Denton County District
Court)
L Sherry Gray v. Henry Barry, et al., Cause No. 153-15458400
B. Reconvene into open meeting at 7:30 p.m.
3. Take necessary action with respect to any of the pending matters in Item 42 above.
4. Citizens' Presentations: This is an opportunity for citizens to address the Board on any matter
whether or not it is posted on the agenda. The Board can not by law take action nor have any
discussion or deliberations on any presentation made to the Board at this time concerning an item
not listed on the agenda. Any item presented may be noticed on a future agenda for deliberation or
action.
5. Consider a Resolution authorizing the Town Manager to execute an interlocal agreement with the
Town of Trophy Club for employee services.
6. Conduct a staff presentation followed by a Public Hearing to consider an Ordinance approving a
special use permit application filed by W.B. Texas Resort Communities to drill a private water
well.

7. Conduct a staff presentation followed by a Public Hearing to consider a Resolution approving a
preliminary plat filed by Randy and Sherry Reed regarding 20.157 acres located at 1480 Dove
Road.
8. Consider a Resolution expressing oppostion to House Bill 64 and Senate Bill 339 that would
require each elected City Official, each City Manager, and each City Attorney to file a financial
statement detailing the person's finances and the finances of the person's spouse and dependent
children.
9. Consider a Resolution suspending the TXU gas rate increase.
10. Consider an Ordinance declaring a moratorium on the issuance, acceptance or approval of any
permits, applications, site plans, zoning amendments, preliminary plats and final plats on any
outdoor lighted recreational facilities in the Town on any property zoned R-0.5, R-1, R-2 and R-5.
11. Consent Agenda: All items listed below are considered routine by the Board of Aldermen and will
be enacted with one motion. There will be no separate discussion of items unless a Board member
or citizen so requests, in which event the item will be removed from the general order of business
and considered in its normal sequence.
A. Consider a Resolution approving an expenditure of $1200.00 from the Municipal Court
building Security Fund for yearly security training for bailiff/warrant officer.
B. Consider a Resolution amending the budget for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2001, to
authorize the Town to join the Texas Economic Development Sales Tax Association.
C. Review and approve minutes of the regular meeting held on February 12, 2001.
D. Review and approve any outstanding bills.
12. Adjournment.

Meetings Act, Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code.
