HomeMy WebLinkAbout02-12-01 TC AgendaNotice of Board of Aldermen meeting Page 1 of 3 TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS` NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETING 4 TO THE CITIZENS OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS: Notice is hereby given that the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas, will meet at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 12, 2001, in Rooms 1 & 2 of the Solana Education Center, 3 Village Circle, in the Town of Westlake, Texas. The Board will open the meeting at 7:00 p.m. and recess into executive session. The Board will then reconvene into open session at 7:30 p.m. The Board will consider the following agenda: 1. Meeting called to order and announce a quorum. 2. EXECUTIVE SESSION. A. The Board will conduct a closed session under Texas Government Code section 551.071 to seek advice of counsel on legal matters involving pending or contemplated litigation, settlement offers, or other legal matters not related directly to litigation or settlement. Pending or contemplated litigation and settlement offers include but are not limited to the following: L City of Roanoke v. Town of Westlake, Cause No. 97-50250-367 (Denton County District Court) ii. Sherry Gray v. Henry Barry, et al., Cause No. 153-18458400 B. Reconvene into open meeting at 7:30 p.m. 3. Take necessary action with respect to any of the pending matters in Item #2 above. 4. Citizens' Presentations: This is an opportunity for citizens to address the Board on any matter whether or not it is posted on the agenda. The Board can not by law take action nor have any discussion or deliberations on any presentation made to the Board at this time concerning an item not listed on the agenda. Any item presented may be noticed on a future agenda for deliberation or action. 5. Consider a Resolution creating a non-profit corporation (Westlake Academy Corporation). 6. Consider a Resolution creating a non-profit corporation (Westlake Civic Center Corporation). 7. Consider an Ordinance calling an election to be held on the 5th day of May, 2001, for the purpose of electing 3 Aldermen to two-year terms. 9. Consider a Resolution supporting the principle of a locally controlled, level playing field for economic development in the State of Texas. 10. Presentation from Town Engineer regarding the Dove Road trail underpass. 11. Conduct a staff presentation followed by a Public Hearing to consider a Resolution regarding a rezoning of 4.747 acres known as Vaquero, Arthur Addition located west of future Precinct Line Road. 12. Conduct a staff presentation followed by a Public Hearing to consider a Resolution regarding a replat of 22.180 acres known as Vaquero - Residential Phase 1 located west of future Precinct Line Road. 13. Conduct a staff presentation followed by a Public Hearing to consider a Resolution regarding a preliminary plat for 105.571 acres known as Vaquero, Arthur Addition located south of Vaquero Phase 1 and west of future Precinct Line Road. 14. Conduct a staff presentation and consider a Resolution regarding a final plat for 105.571 acres known as Vaquero, Arthur Addition located south of Vaquero Phase i and west of future Precinct Line Road. 15. Consent Agenda: All items listed below are considered routine by the Board of Aldermen and will be enacted with one motion. There will be no separate discussion of items unless a Board member or citizen so requests, in which event the item will be removed from the general order of business and considered in its normal sequence. A. Review and approve minutes of the regular meeting held on January 22, 2001. B. Review and approve any outstanding bills. 16. Adjournment.
