HomeMy WebLinkAbout12-08-03 TC Agenda Notice of Board of Aldermen ire _ing , Page 1 of 2 TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETING WESftAIKE TO THE CITIZENS OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS: Notice is hereby given that the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas, will meet at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December S, 2003, in the Boardroom of the Town Hall, located at 2650 J.T. Ottinger Road, in the Town of Westlake, Texas. The Board will consider the following agenda: 1. Meeting called to order and announce a quorum. 2. EXECUTIVE SESSION. A. The Board will conduct a closed session under Texas Government Code section 551.071 to seek advice of counsel on legal matters involving pending or contemplated litigation, settlement offers, or other legal matters not related directly to litigation or settlement. Pending or contemplated litigation and settlement offers include but are not limited to the following: i. City of Roanoke v. Town of Westlake, Cause No. 02-01-00290-CV (Second Court of Appeals) ii. Sherry Gray v. Henry Barry, et al., Cause No. 153-18458400 (153rd Judicial District Court of Tarrant County, Texas) iii. Gray v. Town of Westlake and Town of Westlake Zoning Board ofAdjustment; Cause AV 02-02-00173-CV(Second Court of Appeals) iv. Kennel Kare, Inc. and Sherry Gray v, Town of Westlake Zoning Board ofAdjustment; Cause No. 153-194580-02 (District Court of Tarrant County, Texas) v. Boundary issue with Town of Trophy Club. vi. Town of Westlake v. City of Roanoke (Johnny's Automotive tract), Cause No. 2003- 20243-158 (158th Judicial District Court of Denton County, Texas) B. The Board will conduct a closed session under Texas Government Code section 551.072 to deliberate the purchase, exchange, lease or value of real property, specifically the pending purchase of a 6.52-acre tract of land located at the intersection of US 377 and SH 170. Citizens' Presentations: This is an opportunity for citizens to address the Board on any matter whether or not it is posted on the agenda. The Board cannot by law take action nor have any discussion or deliberations on any presentation made to the Board at this time concenuing an item not listed on the agenda. Consider a Resolution changing the location of the Board of Aldermen meetings. 6. Consider a Resolution amending the 2003104 budget for the Keller/Westlake water tower connection costs. 7. Consider a Resolution amending the 2003/04 budget to allow participation in a FEMA grant for the Department of Public Safety. 8. Hear a presentation and take any necessary action regarding options for improvements to the intersection of Randol Mill Road and Dove Road. 9. Consent Agenda: All items listed below are considered routine by the Board of Aldermen and will be enacted with one motion. There will be no separate discussion of items unless a Board member or citizen so requests, in which event the item will be removed from the general order of business and considered in its normal sequence. A. Review and approve minutes of the regular meeting held on November 17, 2003. B. Review and approve any outstanding bills. C. Consider a Resolution approving certain contracts relating to the Westlake Civic Campus. 10. Adjournment.
