NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETING WES"TLAKE
TO THE CITIZENS OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS:
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas, will meet at 7:00
p.m. on Monday,August 23,2004, in the Board room located at 2650 J.T. Ottinger Road, in the Town
of Westlake, Texas. The Board of Aldermen will consider the following agenda:
1. Call the regular meeting to order in the Board room at 7:00 p.m, and announce a quorum.
2. EXECUTIVE SESSION.
A. The Board will conduct a closed session under Texas Government Code section 551.071 to
seek advice of counsel on legal matters involving pending or contemplated litigation,
settlement offers, or other legal matters not related directly to litigation or settlement.
Pending or contemplated litigation and settlement offers include but are not limited to the
following:
i. City of Roanoke v. Town of Westlake, Cause No. 02-01-00290-CV(Second Court of
Appeals)
ii. Sherry Gray v. Henry Barry, et al., Cause No. 153-18458400 (153rd Judicial District
Court of Tarrant County, Texas)
iii. Gray v. Town of Westlake and Town of Westlake Zoning Board ofAdjustment, Cause
No. 02-02-00173-CV(Second Court of Appeals)
iv. Kennel Kare, Inc. and Sherry Gray v. Town of Westlake Zoning Board of Adjustment,
Cause No. 153-194580-02 (District Court of Tarrant County, Texas)
v. Town of Westlake v. City of Roanoke (Johnny's Automotive tract), Cause No. 2003-
20243-158 (158th Judicial District Court of D enton County, Te xas)
vi. Town of Trophy Club v. Town of Westlake, Cause No. 2004-40094-362 (362nd Judicial
District Court of Denton County, Texas)
vii Contemplated litigation Michael Boland v Town of Westlake.
B. The Board will conduct a closed session under Texas Government Code section 551.072 to
discuss the purchase, exchange, lease, or value of real property.
C. The Board will conduct a closed session under Texas Government Code section 551.074 to
discuss personnel matters.
D. Reconvene into open meeting.
3. Take necessary action with respect to Item#2 above.

4. Citizens' Presentations: This is an opportunity for citizens to address the Board on any matter
whether or not it is posted on the agenda. The Board cannot by law take action nor have any
discussion or deliberations on any presentation made to the Board at this time concerning an item
not listed on the agenda. Any item presented may be noticed on a future agenda for deliberation or
action.
5. Consider a Resolution adopting the FY 2004-05 budget including the final amendments to the FY
2003-04 budget.

1. Uonszder a Resolution -oving the closing of the bank accounts at F 3t Bank and to close the
Municipal and Enterprise checking accounts and open a Payroll Accou�xt with Bank One.
8. Consider a Resolution appointing members to the Westlake Historical Preservation Board.
9. Consider an Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 462 as suggested by the Texas Department of
Transportation.
10. Consent Agenda: All items listed below are considered routine by the Board of Aldermen and will
be enacted with one motion. There will be no separate discussion of items unless a Board member
or citizen so requests, in which event the item will be removed from the general order of business
and considered in its normal sequence.
A. Review and approve minutes of the regular meeting held on August 9, 2004.
B. Review and approve any outstanding bills.
11. Adjournment.

Road, Westlake, Texas, on Friday, August 20, 2004, at 3:00 p.m., under the Open Meetings Act,
Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code.
