NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETING
TO THE CITIZENS OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS:
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas, will meet at 6:30
p.m. on Monday, June 14, 2004, in the administrative conference room of the Town Hall, located at
2650 J.T. Ottinger Road, in the Town of Westlake, Texas for a workshop. The Board of Aldermen will
then meet at 7:00 p.m. in the Board room to consider the remainder of the following agenda:
1. Workshop called to order in the administrative conference room at 6:30 p.m.
2. Discuss proposed amendments to the Fire and Building Codes.
3. Adjourn to the regular meeting.
4. Call the regular meeting to order in the Board room at 7:00 p.m. and announce a quorum.
(The regular meeting will be held after the workshop and may begin later than 7:00 p.m.)
5. EXECUTIVE SESSION.
A. The Board will conduct a closed session under Texas Government Code section 551.071 to
seek advice of counsel on legal matters involving pending or contemplated litigation,
settlement offers, or other legal matters not related directly to litigation or settlement.
Pending or contemplated litigation and settlement offers include but are not limited to the
following:
L City of Roanoke v. Town of Westlake, Cause No. 02 -01 -00290 -CV (Second Court of
Appeals)
ii. Sherry Gray v. Henry Barry, et al., Cause No. 153-18458400 (153rd Judicial District
Court of Tarrant County, Texas)
iii. Gray v. Town of Westlake and Town of Westlake Zoning Board of Adjustment, Cause
No. 02 -02 -00173 -CV (Second Court of Appeals)
iv. Kennel Kare, Inc. and Sherry Gray v. Town of Westlake Zoning Board ofAdjustment,
Cause No. 153-194580-02 (District Court of Tarrant County, Texas)
v. Town of Westlake v. City of Roanoke (Johnny's Automotive tract), Cause No. 2003-
20243-158 (158th Judicial District Court of Denton County, Texas)
vi. LTTS Charter School, Inc. v. Matrix Bankcorp, Inc., et al., Cause No. 04-04780-C (68th
Judicial District Court of Dallas County, Texas)

B. The Board will conduct a closed session under Texas Government Code section 551.074 to
discuss personnel matters related to the Town Marshal.
C. Reconvene into open meeting.
6. Take necessary action with respect to Item 15 above.
7. Citizens' Presentations: This is an opportunity for citizens to address the Board on any matter
whether or not it is posted on the agenda. The Board cannot by law take action nor have any
discussion or deliberations on any presentation made to the Board at this time concerning an item
not listed on the agenda. Any item presented may be noticed on a future agenda for deliberation or
action.
S. Consider a Resolution amending the FY 2003-04 Utility Fund budget.
9. Consider a Resolution authorizing the Town Manager to enter into a contract with RJN Group,
Inc. for a Sanitary Sewer Evaluation Study (SSES) of infrastructure within and adjacent to
GlenWyck Farms.
10. Consider a Resolution authorizing the Town Manager to enter into an Interlocal Agreement with
the Town of Trophy Club for automatic aid for fire protection, emergency medical services and
declared or undeclared emergencies endangering the public health and safety.
11. Consider a Resolution authorizing the Town Manager to enter into an Interlocal Agreement with
the City of Southlake for automatic aid for fire protection, emergency medical services and
declared or undeclared emergencies endangering the public health and safety.
12. Consider a Resolution appointing Rick Rennhack as President of the Westlake Academy
Foundation Board of Directors.
13. Consider an Ordinance adopting the Fire and Building Codes as amended.
14. Consent Agenda: All items listed below are considered routine by the Board of Aldermen and will
be enacted with one motion. There will be no separate discussion of items unless a Board member
or citizen so requests, in which event the item will be removed from the general order of business
and considered in its normal sequence.
A. Review and approve minutes of the workshop and regular meeting held on May 24, 2004 and
the special meeting held on May 17, 2004.
B. Review and approve any outstanding bills.
