SPECIAL TOWN COUNCIL MEETING
May 1 , 2013
PRESENT: Mayor Laura Wheat and Council Members, Michael Barrett, Clif Cox, Carol
Langdon.
ABSENT: David Levitan and Rick Rennhack
OTHERS PRESENT: Town Manager Tom Brymer, Assistant to the Town Manager
Amanda DeGan, Town Secretary Kelly Edwards, Finance Director

Special Session
1. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Wheat called the meeting to order at 12:13 p.m.
2® PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Mayor Wheat led the pledge of allegiance to the United States and Texas flags.
3. CITIZEN PRESENTATIONS
No one addressed the Council.

4. DISCUSSION AND CONSIDERATION OF ORDINANCE 7 , CANVASSING THE
RETURNS AND DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE GENERAL ELECTION
MAY 11, 2013, FOR THE ELECTION T (3) COUNCIL MEMBERS TO TERMS
EXPIRING Y 2015.
MOTION: Council Member Cox made a motion to approve Ordinance 704.
Council Member Barrett seconded the motion. The motion carried
by a vote of 3-0.
S. DISCUSSION CONSIDERATION C 705, CANVASSING THE
RETURNS AND DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE SPECIAL ELECTI HELD ON
Y 11, 2013, THE ELECTION COUNCIL MEMBER FOR A TERM PI
Y 2014.
MOTION: Council Member Langdon made a motion to approve Ordinance
705. Council Member Barrett seconded the motion. The motion
carried by a vote of 3-0.
6. ADMINISTER OAT FICE TO NEWLY ELECTED OFFICIALS.
Mayor Wheat administrated the Oath of Office to Council Members Barrett and Langdon.
7. DISCUSSION AND CONSIDERATION TO ELECT A MAYOR TEMPORE.
Council Member Cox made a motion to elect Council Member
Langdon as Mayor Pro Tempore. Council Member Barrett
seconded the motion. The motion carried by a vote of 3-0.

calendar.

9. ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business before the Council, Mayor Wheat asked for a motion to
adjourn the meeting.
MOTION: Council Member Langdon made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
Council Member Cox seconded the motion. The motion carried by
a vote of 3-0.
Mayor Wheat adjourned the meeting at 12:22 p.m.
