WHAT is Nearpod??
Nearpod has the ability to bring the classroom to life with interactive
mobile presentations that teachers can create and customize
themselves.
Teachers are able to control the presentation from an iOS while
students follow along on their ipads.
Positive and engaging attitude towards learning.
Supporting differentiated instruction.
Assessing students along the way.
Alerts teachers when student is not following along.
Promoting and encouraging the use of technology and the 1:1
initiative in our classrooms on a daily basis.

Teachers from across the globe can gain an audience for
their learners.
Pick up to 3 other classes from any part of the world based on
your unit or preferences and discuss with each other what
you are learning.
So, over a cycle of 4 weeks each class has their week as the
focus class.
Students will be able to comment on each other’s work,
skype, send video messages and tweet other classes (all
accounts are protected). FOLLOW US!! @fabWAfirstgrade
+ Does technology take place of
great teaching?
As one school together, we are all life long
learners. Using technology in the classroom
does not take the place of great teaching.
Great teaching is still an art. However, using
technology enhances our teaching.
