(Kloempken arrived at 1.53pm, these are the notes)
1. Treasurer's Report was put off until the next meeting due to Ms. Layton was
absent.
2. Museum. discussion — report from town of why we moved
a. Plan for layout was presented by Ms. Kloempken and we were told we can
hang things on the wall. The computers were connected to be used for
archives and any other record keeping.
b. Junior Historians can gain service hours by helping organize the archives
and other artifacts in the museum.
3. Annual meeting — Invitations have been made for Mayor Wheat's house on
October 22 from 7 to 9 pm, for book release.
a. An attendance charge is $100 and they will receive a book.
b. Entertainment and food will be provided by Mayor Wheat and Fossil
Creek Wine and Spirits.
c. Ms. Roach will read from the book and one award will be given to the
firefighters for all their dedication and help.
4. Future plans — Decoration Day and a possible Barn Dance to gather together as a
community.
a. Keep in mind and think of possibilities for the next meeting.
b. Should there be a theme? Dancing? Partner with the Public Arts Society?
5. 2009 Strategic Plan of the Town — make sure we are sticking with the mission and
the Town. Continue to use open communication and other groups.
6. Adjournment — Ms. Kloempken moved to adjourn, Ms. Stoltenberg second.
