Members Present: Sharon Sanden, Jack Wiesman, Joyce Roach, Karen Stoltenberg, Stephen Thornton
1. Call to Order 1:35 p.m.
2. Minutes from April read. Member Stoltenberg motioned the minutes be accepted, Member
Wiesman seconded.
3. No Treasurer's report was given.
4. Reports from Committees
a. Activities and Events
1. Member Roach updated us on the by-laws; they are still being reviewed by the
attorney.
2. Member Roach also updated us on events for the fall.
a. "Riding the Rails" with Bill Greenwood, date to be determined.
b. "On Horseback with the Cavalry" with Bert Schultz,date to be determined.
3. Member Roach said the exhibit will stay up through the fall. She also read a story about
President Sanden's father that goes along with the exhibit.
b. Junior Historians
1. President Sanden updated us that 2 Junior Historians wrote stories that we will display.
5. Old Business
a. Membership —President Sanden said a second mailing went out, and we have been receiving
new memberships. We have 2 corporate members.
b. Decoration Day -President Sanden said everything is in order.
1. Set up will begin about 3:30, but she will keep us updated.
2. The fly -by is scheduled for 6:40 with 3 passes, 5 minutes for each pass.
3. Next year, we may need to get new "time" stickers for the signs.
4. Ice Cream was not donated by Central Market, due to the HOC Shopping Day. (Central
Market just gave $4000 to the HOC)
c. Bandana Bonanza- Stephen Thornton gave us an update about Bandana Bonanza. He
thought overall, the event was a success.
6. New Business
a. Annual Meeting -Karen Stoltenberg hasn't done anything on it yet.
7. Member Roach motioned adjournment. Member Wiesman seconded.
a. Motion passed, and the meeting adjourned at 2:20 p.m.
