WESTLAKE PUBLIC ART SOCIETY MEETING
August 15, 2012
Present: Bryan Biddle, Kelly Cox, Amelia Johnson, Gail James, Alison Ross, Rebecca Neidich
Absent: Trish Biddle
Others Present: Amanda DeGan
1. CALL TO ORDER
Meeting was called to order by President Biddle at 7:10 pm.
2. REVIEW AND APPROVE THE MINUTES FROM THE MAY 23, 2012 MEETING
Motion made by Director Cox to approve minutes, seconded by Director Amelia. Motion carried 6 -0.
3. REVIEW AND DISCUSS 8/27 TOWN HALL PRESENTATION OF WPAS 2012 ACCOMPLISHMENTS, 2013 APPROPRIATION
Discussed R (Artist in Residence) Benefits and Goals - 1st Annual, Arbor Days - Art Contest for WA DP students &
collaboration with Arts Council Northeast, Upcoming plans & activities: Collaboration with the Westlake Historical Society's
3rd Annual "Westlake Classic Car Show ", Arts Scholarships, Student Liaison. No motion made.
4. REVIEW AND DISCUSS FALL 2012 AND SPRING 2013 ACTIVITIES
10`h Anniversary Activities, (AIR) Artist in Residence — start in October, Art Trip to Dragon Street, .Arbor Days Art Contest,
Scholarships. (3) outdoor art pieces available— Amanda. Motion made by Director Cox to obtain the pieces, seconded by
Director B. Biddle. Motion carried 6 -0. Discussed purchasing unit set for WA theatre. No motion made.
S. REVIEW AND DISCUSS ARIANA'S PAINTING FRAMING AND PRESENTATION TO THE TOWN
Painting was already framed. Name plate needs to be made. No motion was made.
6. REVIEW AND DISCUSS WA HISTORICAL SOCIETY CAR SHOW FOR OCTOBER
Director T. Biddle finalizing her painting, need to provide quote to WPAS Board for posters. No motion was made
7. ADJOURN
Motion made by Director B. Biddle to adjourn meeting, seconded by Director Neidich.
President B. Biddle adjourned the meeting at 8:20 pm.
