WESTLAKE PUBLIC ART SOCIETY MEETING
JANUARY 12, 2012
Present: Bryan Biddle, Debra Hale, Gail James, Kelly Cox, Trish Biddle
Absent: Mike Silliman, Amelia Johnson, Leah Rennhack, April Gallagher

1. CALL TO ORDER
Meeting was called to order by President Biddle at 7:00 pm.
2. REVIEW AND APPROVE THE MINUTES FROM THE NOVEMBER 3, 2011 MEETING
Motion made by Director Hale to approve, seconded by Director Cox. Motion carried 5 -0.
3. REVIEW AND DISCUSS PARTICIPATION IN THE MASTERWORK CONCERT SERIES AT ARBOR DAYS
Discussion tabled. No motion was made.
4. REVIEW AND DISCUSS PARTICIPATION IN ARBOR DAYS WITH BOOTH PROVIDED BY THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE; ART
CONTEST MARKETING AND GUILDELINES
Discussion tabled. No motion was made.
S. REVIEW AND DISCUSS THE WESTLAKE ACADEMY "ARTISTS IN RESIDENCE" PROGRESS
Current list of artists participating in AIR are Nolen Mueller, Trish Biddle, Richard Nunez, Nell Potasnik- Langford, Gregory
Arth, Holly Paulsen, Nancy Herkert, Linda Bein, Janie Cavender. Funds are confirmed still available for $200 stipend and
$100 supplies per artist as we now have 9 artists total. Director Cox will be coordinating with the artists and teachers to
assign classes and countries. No motion was made.
6. REVIEW AND DISCUSS "FAMILY PHOTO DAY" PROJECT
Discussion tabled. No motion was made.
7. REVIEW AND DISCUSS THE TREASURER'S REPORT
Director Johnson reported by email there were no changes from the previous report of a $10,000 balance from funds
provided by the Town of Westlake for the 2012 fiscal year 10/1/11- 9/30/12. No motion was made.
8. DISCUSS AND SCHEDULE NEXT MEETING
Discussed items to place on next month's Agenda: Artists in Residence & Gallery Night/ Plan for Marketing the Art contest
at Arbor Days /New WPAS Board Members.
February 23, 2012, 7:00pm will be the next tentative meeting date for WPAS.
9. ADJOURN
Motion made by Director Biddle to adjourn meeting, seconded by Director T. Biddle.
President B. Biddle adjourned the meeting at 8:05 pm.
