MINUTES OF THE MEETING
OF THE ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
September 27, 2004

Item #1: Chairman Redding called the meeting to order at 6:38 p.m. by announcing a quorum, consisting
of Mr. Brown, Mr. Frey, Mr. Sparrow and himself.
Item ##2: Review and approve the minutes of the meetings held on August 9, 2004. There was a motion
by Mr. Sparrow, seconded by Mr. Brown, to approve the minutes as presented. There was no discussion
and the motion carried unanimously.
Item 43: conduct a Public Hearing and take any appropriate action regarding an application filed by the
Town to extend a variance to the time restrictions on a temporary structure for the Westlake Fire and
Rescue. Mr. Petty told the Board that when this variance was granted two years ago it was the Town's
intention to have a permanent structure in place by this time, but this has not been possible so the Town
is requesting the variance be extended for two more years. The Public Hearing was opened at 6:41 p.m.
and since no one wished to address the Board on this issue was immediately closed. After a short
discussion of this item there was a motion by Mr. Frey, seconded by Mr. Brown, to approve a two year
extention to this variance to alleviate a hardship. There was no further discussion and the motion carried
unanimously.
Item 44: There was a motion by Mr. Sparrow, seconded by Mr. Brown, to adjourn. There was no
discussion and the motion carried unanimously.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:44 p.m.
Approved by the Zoning Board of Adjustment on December 13, 2004.
