ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
OCTOBER 24, 2005
PRESENT: Chairman Don Redding and Board Members Buddy Brown, Bill Frey, and Fred
Held
ABSENT: Board Member Larry Sparrow
OTHERS PRESENT: Town Manager Trent Petty, Town Attorney Stan Lowry, Town
Secretary Jean Dwinnell, DPS Director Don Wilson, and Town
Engineer David McCarver
1. CALL TO ORDER.
Chairman Redding called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
2. REVIEW AND APPROVE MINUTES OF MEETING HELD AUGUST 8, 2005.
Mr. Held moved, Mr. Brown seconded the motion to approve the minutes of the Zoning Board of
Adjustment meeting held August 8, 2005.
There was no discussion and Chairman Redding declared the motion carried unanimously.
3. CONSIDER VARIANCES TO THE CODE OF ORDINANCES FOR
TEMPORARY FACILITIES AT THE WESTLAKE MUNICIPAL COMPLEX,
2650 J. T. OTTINGER ROAD.
Town Manager Trent Petty explained the request for variances to the Code, advising that the
Town would be placing temporary buildings on the Civic Campus property for a period of
approximately three to five years.
Chairman Redding opened the public hearing.
There was no one from the audience wishing to speak concerning this item and Chairman
Redding closed the public hearing.
Mr. Frey moved, Mr. Held seconded the motion to grant the variances as presented not to exceed
five years.
There was no discussion and Chairman Redding declared the motion carried unanimously.
4. ADJOURNMENT.
Mr. Brown moved, Mr. Held seconded the motion to adjourn.
The motion carried and Chairman Redding declared the meeting adjourned at 6:37 p.m.
Approved by the Zoning Board of Adjustment on March 26, 2007.

Conduct a Public Hearing and take appropriate action regarding an application filed by
WB Texas Resort Communities requesting a variance regarding the time restriction on a
temporary structure located at 1405 Fountain Grass Court, Vaquero — Phase 1.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends approval
BACKGROUND
A variance request was made by WB Texas Resort in June 2002 regarding the temporary
structure used for the sales office. The ZBA approved a two year time period with a one
year extension. This time period has since expired and WB Texas Resort has filed an
application for additional time.
With the fact that lots are still available and under construction at this time, WB Texas
Resort would like to continue to serve the community, residents, and potential customers
with the best possible customer service. Remaining on -site at the 1405 Fountain Grass
Court location would provide constant on -site availability and further their ability to
provide the best service possible. The sales office has been attractively maintained and
heavily landscaped to provide a minimal intrusion.
The applicant requested a one year time period with a one year extension.
A Vaquero site plan is attached for your review indicating the location of the sales office.
