PRESENT: President Bert Schultz, Kelly Bradley, Megan Brady, Jim Budarf, Kristi Layton, Karen
Stoltenberg, Stephen Thornton
OTHERS PRESENT: Ginger Awtry, Troy Meyer, Allan Werst
1. CALL TO ORDER.
President Schultz called the meeting to order at 1:39 P.M.
2. MEETING MINUTES AND ACTION ITEM LIST
President Schultz asked for a motion.
MOTION: Member Budarf made a motion to approve the minutes. Member Layton seconded
the motion. The motion carried.
3. TREASURER'S REPORT
Member Layton passed out copies of the Treasurer's Report. We had $725 in membership dues
with 1 new member, the Brewsters. Fidelity rejoined with a corporate membership. Fran
Eichenhorst retired, and we now have a new contact, Scott Orr. We also had the Schultz and
Werst families as sponsors for Decoration Day.
4. MEMBERSHIP REPORT
This was included in the Treasurer's Report.

President Schultz called it an "incredible event." President Schultz received 3 official
proclamations and had them framed and posted on the wall in the museum. Ginger Awtry said
the event was "simple, but classy, like Westlake."
Stephen Thornton had a suggestion: He suggested that we keep a notebook with all of the old
flyers of our past events for reference.
6. COMMITTEE REPORTS (Decoration Day)
The Board went through the Program for Decoration Day and made some final changes. Then,
the Board went through the `To Do List" for Decoration Day and finalized everyone's jobs. The
changes are as follows:
Troy Meyer: will bring 5 canopies instead of 4, will bring 10 folding tables, will bring a
generator, call to secure porta potties, and will make sure the hot dog grill gets there.
Member Layton: will buy the food for 300 people.
Member Stoltenberg: will cover tables at 10:00 a.m., find out what title to give Scott Brewer in
Program, and ask if he would be willing to do a benediction in addition to the invocation.
Allan Werst will confirm Fred Held.
Member Layton, Member Brady, and Member Bradley, will be judges for the Bicycle Parade.
Everyone who can, will meet at 8 a.m. to help set up. Board members plan to arrive at
Decoration Day by 5:30 p.m.
MOTION: Member Budarf made a motion to give $50 to the TAPS player and $100 to the
Keyboard Accompanient. Member Layton seconded the motion. The motion carried.
The Board determined where to place the signs, advertising Decoration Day.
10. ADJOURNMENT
President Schultz adjourned the meeting at 2:50.
The next meeting will be held Monday, August 27 at 1:30 P.M. at the Westlake Museum.
