Consider a resolution designating an Investment Officer for the Westlake Academy.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Staff recommends approval.
BACKGROUND
The Academy recently adopted its Investment Policy as required under Chapter 2256 of the
Government Code, commonly known as the “Public Funds Investment Act”. In addition, the
Code requires the designation of an Investment Officer. Debbie Piper, Finance Director for the
Town, is the logical designee for this position and has completed the Investment Training
required by this legislation.
