NOTICE OF A SCHOOL BOARD MEETING
TO THE CITIZENS OF THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS:
Notice is hereby given that the School Board of the Westlake Academy will meet at 6:00 p.m. on
Monday, May 10,2004, in the Boardroom of the Town Hall, located at 2650 J.T. Ottinger Road, in the
Town of Westlake, Texas. The Board will consider the following agenda:
1. Meeting called to order and announce a quorum
2. EXECUTIVE SESSION.
A. The Board will conduct a closed session under Texas Government Code section 551.074 to
discuss personnel matters.
B. Reconvene into open meeting.
3. Take any necessary action with respect to Item#2 above.
4. Consider a Resolution authorizing the CEO of Westlake Academy to enter into contracts with the
Education Service Center, Region XI for Services related to Westlake Academy.
5. Consider a Resolution ratifying the authority of the Head of School and CEO to make budgeted
and authorized personnel related decisions for the Westlake Academy.
6. Consider a Resolution establishing a$25,000.00 limit for budgeted purchases not requiring action
by the Board.
7. Consent Agenda. All items listed below are considered routine by the Board and will be enacted
with one motion. There will be no separate discussion of items unless a Board member or citizen
so requests, in which event the item will be removed from the general order of business and
considered in its normal sequence.
A. Review and approve minutes of the regular meetings held on March 8, 2004 and March 23,
2004 and the special meeting held on April 19, 2004.
B. Review and approve any outstanding bills.

Meetin Act, Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code.

Government Code to discuss any item posted on the agenda
