As a devoted community member, I am Interested in the preservation as well as the continued development within the Town of Westlake. I would like to be involved in preserving Westlake as the best and most livable town in Texas by promoting orderly growth and development, safe construction and neighborhood vitality. I'd like to ensure that Westlake remains a vibrant and sustainable town by partnering with decision makers and the community to balance a spectrum of needs and interests while addressing the dynamics of growth and change. My interests lie in preserving the larger landscape, both pastoral and agricultural while enhancing the horizontal building line. I believe that I would be an asset to produce neighborhood and community plans that include goals and action steps for land use, housing, economic development, community facilities, and transportation networks. I would like to assist the development of this viable urban community through strengthened partnerships among all levels of government and the private sector. My goal is to balance the Town of Westlake's need for development with its need to provide public services while protecting the health, safety and welfare of its residents. As a residential and commercial huilder_ fnr both the military and private sector, I was responsible for negotiating, budgeting and contracting all logistics, materials, and land opportunities for construction. I managed and coordinated all aspects of the development process, such as: site review, marketing, architectural design, construction, engineering, HOA and CC&R processes, revenue, and schedules to ensure a timely, accurate and smooth process. I have participated in a multitude of P&Z hearings, meetings, etc., to facilitate the permitting process. I've handled conditional use permit issues related to licenses and signage. Additionally, I directed all aspects of obtaining entitlements for new communities, including general plan changes, zoning, tentative and final maps, site-plans, platting, and variances. have a proven track record of excellent interdepartmental communication and follow-up skills. My successes have been based on my attention to detail, ability to interact well with others, and getting the job done right the first time.
