HomeMy WebLinkAbout11-19-98 PZ MinMinutes of Planning & Zoning TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS MINUTES OF THE PUBLIC HEARING OF THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION November 19, 1.998 Present: Bill Greenwood, Chairman Buddy Brown, Member Don Redding, Member Allen Heath, Member Paul Isham, Town Attorney Dennis Wilson, Town Planner Robert Jenkins, Traffic Consultant Ginger Crosswy, Town Secretary Absent: Sarah Brown, Member Chairman Greenwood opened the meeting at 4:10 p.m. Item #2: PUBLIC HEARING on an amended Thoroughfare Plan which also sets the alignment for FM 1938, The Public Hearing was opened at 4:10 p.m. After much discussion as to the FM 1938 alignment, the Public Hearing was closed at 5:30 p.m.. Item #3: Motion by Commissioner Redding, seconded by Commissioner Heath, to recommend to the Board of Aldermen adoption of the amended Thoroughfare Plan with the alignment of FM 1938 being along the lines of alternative A with two modifications. (1) The entrances at the north end and the south end be along the lines of what is drawn on alternative B. (2) Move the roadway somewhat west just south of the Dove Road intersection in order to avoid mmoving a number of mature trees and still insuring the viability of the development of a golf course on the west side. The motion carried unanimously. Item #4: PUBLIC HEARING on an ©pen Space Plan. Chairman Greenwood opened the public hearing at 5:36 p.m. There was no one wishing to address the Commission and the Public Hearing was continued to the meeting to be held on December 9, 1998, at 7:00 p.m. Item #5: Motion by Commissioner Buddy Brown, seconded by Commissioner Redding, to adjourn.
