Special Meeting
Planning & Zoning Commission
The Planning and Zoning Commission held a joint Public Hearing
with the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas at
7:00 p.m. on the 16th day of November, 1992 at the Westlake
Town Hall, 3 Village Circle, Suite 207, Solana in the Town of
Westlake. The following members were present:
Scott Bradley, Commission Chairman
Randall Loftis, Commissioner
B. J. Minyard, Commissioner - arrived at 7:30 p.m.
The meeting was called to order by the Mayor at 7:10 p.m.
Chairman Bradley opened the Planning and Zoning Public Hearing and
Mayor White opened the Board of Aldermen Public Hearing.
Item 41. Consider rezoning certain properties within the Town
of Westlake to more closely reflect the recently adopted Compre-
hensive Flan. Commissioner Bradley asked land planner Mr. Dennis
Wilson to sur.merize the history of the Comprehensive Plan. A copy
of the official zoning man was displayed and there were comments
from Mr. Pat Atkins, representing Tinton Engineering. Mr. Bradley
read_ several letters from land owners responding to notices sent
to them regarding the proposed. zoning chances.
Item #2. Consider recommendation to the Board of Aldermen
concerning the rezoning of certain properties within the Town
of Westlake , Texas, including but not limited to the Circle T
Ranch. Motion by Commissioner Loftis, seconded by Commissioner
Minyard to recommend to the Board of Aldermen, adoption of an
Ordinance (Ordinance 42011_ amending the Comprehensive Zoning Ord-
inance of 1992, Ordinance 0200, to rezone those tracts of land and
certain properties shown of Exhibit "A" to the Zoning designations
reflected on Exhibit "A". Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Item #3. Consider recommendation to the Board of Aldermen con-
cerning the creation of a PD 1 Zoning District for a portion of
the IBM/Maguire Thomas property. Motion made by Commissioner
Loftis, seconded by Commissioner Minvard to recommend to the Board
of Aldermen adoption of an Ordinance (Or inance #202 creating
a PD 1 District for a portion of the IBnA Maguire Thomas, Westlake/
Southlake nartnershin. Potion carried by unanimous vote.
Item #4. Consider recommendation to the Board of Aldermen con-
cerning the adoption of an Official Zoning Map for the Town of

Westlake, Texas. Motion by Commissioner Loftis, seconded
by Commissioner Minyard to recommend to the Board of Aldermen
adoption of an Official Zoning Map for the Town of Westlake,
Texas , 5X
