HomeMy WebLinkAbout04-03-85 PZ MinMINUTES OF THE PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS APRIL 3, 1985 A special meeting of the Planning & Zoning Commission of the Town of Westlake, Texas was convened at Paigebrooke Farm (Bradley Ranch) in Westlake, Texas on Wednesday, April 3, 1985. The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Scott Bradley, Chairman. Commissioners William Foster and B. J. Minyard were present. Also present representing International Business Machines Corporation was William E. Walts, II, Esq. Abe Bush was also present. Action was taken in connection with the following items: 1. Upon the motion of William Foster, seconded by B. J. Minyard, it was unanimously voted to recommend to the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake that the Town annex a certain a 49.157 acre parcel of land located in the W. Medlin Survey, Abstract No. 1958, Tarrant County, Texas, and the William H. Pea Survey, Abstract No. 1045, Denton County, Texas (the Loftis Tract) into Westlake, Texas, pursuant to the request of International Business Machines Corporation. 2. Upon the motion of William Foster, seconded by B. J. Minyard, it was unanimously voted to recommend to the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake that the Town zone as "P - Planned Office Park," a 49.157 acre parcel of land located in the W. Medlin Survey, Abstract No. 1958, Tarrant County, Texas, and the William H. Pea Survey, Abstract No. 1045, Denton County, Texas (the Loftis Tract) pursuant to the request of International Business Machines Corporation . 3. Upon the motion of William Foster, seconded by B. J. Minyard, it was unanimously voted to recommend to the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake that the Town rezone from "L - Low Density Residential" to "P - Planned Office Park," a 82.382 acre parcel of land, situated east of Precinct Line Road and north of Roanoke Dove Road, and located in the C. M. Throop Survey, Abstract No. 1510, Tarrant County, Texas, pursuant to the request of International Business Machines Corporation 4. Since there appeared to be no legal reason to deny approval of the Preliminary Plat of the Shepherd Hills Subdivision, being a 6.694 acre tract of land in the Jessee Gibson Survey, Abstract No. 592, Tarrant County, Texas, and further being within the extraterritorial jurisdiction of Westlake, Texas, the Commission recommended approval of such plat, subject to the preparation of appropriate covenants, conditions and restrictions for the subdivision. Voting for approval were Commissioners Bradley and Minyard. Commissioner Foster abstained.
