Purpose: Outline criteria necessary to establish
residency status for those seeking admission to the
Academy (from our primary boundaries)
General documents/required proof:
•Proof of home ownership/or lease agreement
•Utility bill
•Photo ID matching address
•Local Option
•Active Building permit (conditional admittance)

•Proposed Updates:
•General wording clarification
•Utility bill in parent/legal guardian, etc .

•Failure to complete home construction
within two (2) years does not establish
permanent residency
Board Policy 1.02 – Admissions Policy
Purpose: Communicate parent/student requirements
for admission into the Academy
General guidelines:
•Notice of intent to return
•Primary boundary = automatic re -
enrollment if continues to reside in town
(time delimited)
•Contingent on staff employment status – for
child of employee

•Enrollment in Academy for 36 months as
primary boundary family
•Will help us maintain open seats for families
moving to Westlake
•Helps clarify requirements and reduce
opportunities to circumvent BOT policy
