Item 41: Mayor Bradley called the workshop to order at 3:45 p.m. in the administration conference
room.
Item #2: Mr. Petty told the Board that he had completed his presentation of the proposed 2004/05 budget
at the workshop on July 26 so this would be an open agenda. Mr. Petty stated that he has had several
residents in G1enWyck Farms calling about the maintenance of the park there. He asked if the Board's
intention had been to leave the park in a more natural state or to keep it manicured. The Board consensus
was that the park at GlenWyck Farms should be left as natural as possible. Mayor Bradley asked about
the maintenance budget for the median on Dove Road. It was decided that there would be a new line
item added to the budget for 2004/05 called "Supplemental Median Maintenance", allocating the sum of
$8,000.00 for the replacement of dead trees and for maintenance of the median. There was a discussion
regarding mosquito fogging, the airport shuttle for the Marriott Solana and the $10,000.00 balance
allocated to Cemetery Maintenance. The Board then discussed the proposed water rate reduction for the
residential property in the Town. The proposed 20% decrease in water rates was scaled back to a 10%
rate reduction. Mr. Petty explained that all of the proposed expense for the mall development is
budgeted to come from the 4A Corporation balance. There was a long discussion regarding the impact
the mall would have on the Town including establishing a Planned Improvement District ("PID").
Item #3: Mayor Bradley adjourned the workshop at 5:40 p.m.
Approved by the Board of Aldermen on September 13, 2004.
