HomeMy WebLinkAbout06-14-01 PZ MinMinutes of Planning & Zoning Pagel of 2 TOWN OF WEST LAKE, TEXAS MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION June 14 , 2001 Present: Allen Heath, Vice Chairman Stan Parchman, Member Hank Barry, Member Sharon Sanden, Member Trent Petty, Town Manager Jeff Williams, Town Engineer Linda Zombeck, Town Planner Mary Midgette, Assistant to the Town Manager Absent: Bill Greenwood, Chairman Ginger Crosswy, Town Secretary Matthew Boyle, Town Attorney Item # 1: Commissioner Heath opened the mee :ing at 7:40 p.m. Item #2: Motion by Commissioner Barry, Seco sided by Commissioner Parcbman, to approve the minutes of the regular meeting held on May 10, 2001 as presented. There was no discussion and the motion carried unanimously. Item #3: Consider a final plat filed by Randy a.ad Sherry Reed for property located at 1480 Dove Road. Mr. Williams, the Town Engineer gave the staff recommendation of approval subject to conditions stated in the agenda memo. David Nixon was in attendance for the applicant. After several questions there was a motion by Commissioner Barry, seconded by Commissioner Sanden, to recommencl approval to the Board of Aldermen subject to the following conditions: 1. No above ground structure or fences shall be constructed in the drainage, water, and underground electrical easement. 2. The final plat shall be amended as per the revised standard template submitted by the Town Engineer to include "Variable width dedication to the Tow i of Westlake for public open space, floodway and underground electrical to be conveyed to the Town of Westlake by deed recorded in Vol. , page . Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas. " After a short question and answer session the r notion carried unanimously. Item #4: Conduct a staff presentation followed by a Public Hearing to consider an application for a private water well located at 1831 River Oaks, filed by Randy and Sherry Reed. Mr. Petty, the Town Manager, explained this item to the Commission. The public hearing was opened. Mr. Nixon asked several general uestions as to the Town's policy on private water wells. As no one wished to address the Commission there was a motion by Commissioner Barry, seconded by Commissioner Parchman, to close the public hearing. The motion carried unanimously and the publi,; hearing was closed. There wa., a motion by Commissioner Sanden, seconded by Commissioner Barry, to •ecommend approval to the Board of Aldermen. Page 2 of 2 Item #5: Conduct a staff presentation followed by a Public Hearing to consider amending the Planned Development Supplement of the Comprehensi-ie Zoning Ordinance by amending Article VI, Lighting Standards. Mr. Petty, the Town Manager, explained this item to the Commission. The public hearing was opened. David Nixon asked a question regardii ig lighted tennis courts. There was a motion by Commissioner Barry, seconded by Commissio z Parchman, to close the Public Hearing. The motion carried unanimously and the public hearing was then closed. There was a motion by Commissioner Barry, seconded by Commissioner Sanden, to recommend approval to the Board of Aldermea. There was no discussion and the motion carried unanimously. Item #6: Motion by Commissioner Sanden, seconded by Commissioner Barry, to adjourn.
