MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING
OF THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN
March 9,1998

The meeting was called to order at 6:12 p.m. by Mayor Bradley who read each agenda item to
be discussed in the executive session and then convened the meeting into executive session at 6:15
p.m. The Board recessed out of executive session at 7:32 p.m. and was reconvened into open session
at 7:37 p.m. by Mayor Pro Tem Charla Bradshaw.
Item #3: There was no action taken with regard to any of the items discussed in executive session.
Item #4: Review and approve minutes of the regular meeting held on March 2, 1998. Motion by
Alderman Bradshaw, seconded by Alderman Bush, to approve the minutes as presented.
Motion carried unanimously.
Item #5: Citizens' Presentations: No one wished to address the Board at this time.
Item #6: Review and approve any bills paid or unpaid. Motion by Alderman Bush, seconded by
Alderman Bradshaw, to approve paying all outstanding bills.
The motion carried unanimously.
Item #7: Consider and take action concerning a recycle program for the Town. Mayor Bradley
explained the history of this item. After much discussion the Board decided to add this item to the
agenda for the next meeting to be held on March 16, 1998.
Item #8: Other business: Alderman Held reported on the status of the road repairs in the Town. Mayor
Bradley reported on a meeting attended by County Commissioner Glen Whitley, his administrative
assistant Jane Sanford, Fred Held, Abe Bush, Bill Greenwood, Scott Bradley, Jim Morris, Terry

Morgan and Eddie Haas of Parsons Transportation Group concerning the proposed extension of
Precinct Line Road from FM 1938 (Davis Boulevard) north from its intersection with FM 1709 to
State Highway 114 as a six lane divided roadway. Mayor Bradley told the audience that someone
would need to attend a meeting on Thursday, March 12th at 2:00 p.m. at the Texas Department of
Transportation concerning this matter.
Item #12: Motion by Alderman Bush, seconded by Alderman Bradshaw, to adjourn.
The motion carried unanimously.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:52 p.m.
