PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
MEETING OF
MAY 21, 1997
Present: Bill Greenwood, Member
Don Redding, Member
Ginger Crosswy, Town Secretary
Absent: Ernie Hedgcoth, Town Engineer
The meeting was called to order by Mr. Greenwood at 9:05 a.m.
Item #1: Consider a site plan submitted by Maguire Partners to expand the parking at
Village Center by 85 spaces. Mr. Greenwood read a letter from Mr.
Hedgcoth, with Metroplex Engineering Consultants, suggesting that the
replacement pines be Eldrica pines instead of Loblolly pines due to the
additional screening the Eldrica pines would provide. Motion by Mr.
Redding, seconded by Mr. Greenwood, to approve the site plan as requested
but to suggest that Maguire Partners consider using the Eldrica pine in their
replacements of the Loblolly pines due to the screening that the Eldrica will
provide.
Motion carried unanimously
The meeting was adjourned at 9:08 a.m.
