MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL
BOARD OF ALDERMEN MEETING
JANUARY 13,1997

The meeting was called to order by Mayor Scott Bradley at 7:05 p.m.
Item # 1: Consider a resolution expressing interest in entering into a standard contract
for water service between the Town of Westlake and the City of Fort Worth
and acknowledging special indemnification requirements. Mayor Bradley
told the Board that the Town had received a letter from Lee Bradley, Director
of Water Utilities for the City of Fort Worth, stating that the City of Fort
Worth needs to do some future planning and is offering to .enter into contracts
with the Town and Lake Turner MUDs, provided that any contracting party
will agree to indemnify and hold the City of Fort Worth harmless from any
legal action brought against the City of Fort Worth by reason of the contract.
Paul Isham, the Town Attorney, explained to the Board that this resolution is
to let the City of Fort Worth know that the Town is interested in a water
contract and that the City of Fort Worth will not be drawn into any dispute
between the Town and the Lake Turner MUDS. Motion by Al Oien to adopt
Resolution 97-2, seconded by Carroll Huntress.
Motion carried unanimously.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:10 p.m.
