MINUTES OF THE
EMERGENCY MEETING OF THE
BOARD OF ALDERMEN
JUNE 27, 1996
Present: Scott Bradley, Mayor
Carroll Huntress, Mayor Pro -Tem

Jerry Moore, Member
Howard Dudley, Member
Paul Isham, Town Attorney
Charles Haynes, Town CPA
Roland Jary, Town Engineer

Absent: No one
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Mayor Scott Bradley.
Item # 1: Consider an interlocal agreement with Tarrant County for the repair and/or
reconstruction of the public roads in the Town. After much discussion as to
who is responsible for the repair of the public roads it was determined that the
roads were annexed by the Town earlier last year. Roland Jary of Metroplex
Engineering advised the Board that a private contractor could do the repair
work for close to the same cost and the repairs would last much longer
because the Town could specify how the work would be done. Motion by
Jerry Moore, seconded by Carroll Huntress, to sign the interlocal agreement
with the following stipulations. Roland Jary is to obtain bids from private
contractors to execute the same repairs and if the bids are within 25% of the
County's cost to allow the private contractor to make the repairs..
Motion carried - 4 for
1 against - Al Olen
Item #2: Motion by Jerry Moore, seconded by Carroll Huntress, to adopt Ordinance
254, prohibiting through truck traffic on the Town's roads.
Motion carried unanimously.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:35 p.m.
