MEETING OF THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN
TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS
A Regular Meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the Town of
Westlake, Texas was held at 7:00 p.m. on the 4th day of April,
1994, at the Westlake Town Hall, 3 Village Circle, Suite 207,
Solana, in the Town of Westlake, Texas. The following were
present:
Dale L. White, Mayor
Sherry Dudley, Alderman
Howard Dudley, Alderman
Jerry Moore, Alderman
Paul C. Isham, Town Attorney
Scott Bradley, Chairman, Planning & Zoning
Greg Edwards, Metroplex Engineering
Dennis Wilson, Land Planner
Gerry White, Secretary
Also attending were Kelly.Bradley, Carroll Huntress and owners
and representatives of certain property in the Town of Westlake.
Mayor White called the meeting to order at 7:08 p.m.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read by the Secretary and
approved as read.
Item #1. Discussion of requirements for use of septic tanks in
subdivisions. Engineer Greg Edwards addressed those present re-
garding sewer treatment systems. A video depicting a certain type
septic system was shown. A question and answer period between the
Board, the Mayor, engineer and those present followed. Mr. Edwards,
P2avor White and Mr. Bradley will look at some septic tank install-
ations and report to the Board at the Play, 1994 meeting.
Item #2. Consider an amendment to the building permit fees and
consider an ordinance adopting the new fees. Motion by Alderman
Howard Dudlev to Pass and approve Ordinance 4213. and ordinance
setting new building Permit fees except that III C, Special Permit
Fees, is reserved for consideration at a. future Board Meeting.
Alderman Sherry Dudley seconded . Motion was voted on and carried
by unanimous vote.
Item #3. Discussion of the process to annex the Bxad h_.w•- tracts.
No action taken at this time.
Item #6. The Mayor -changed the order of agenda items and consideration
of the town of Westlake's participation in the Northeast Tarrant
County Water Study was address at this time. Scott Bradley briefed
the Board about the proposed study. Motion by Alderman Jerry Moore
that the Town of Westlake should participate in the Northeast
Tarrant County Water Study. Motion was seconded by Alderman
Howard Dudley, voted on and carried unanimously. The Secretary
was instructed to send the $5,000.00 fee.

Item #4. The Board retired into Executive Session pursuant
to Chapter 551.071 of the Texas Government Code to discuss
the hiring of a Town Secretary at 9;45 p.m.
The Board returned to oxen session at 10:08 p.m..
Item #5. Consider hiring a Town Secretary. Motion by Alderman
Sherry Dudley to offer part time employment to Barbara Aerstin.
Starting salary of $8.00 per hour and a minimum of 20 hours per
week. Motion was seconded by Alderman Moore, voted on and carried
unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the Board the
meeting was adjourned.
