THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN FOR
THE TOWN OF WESTLAKE
MARCH 2, 1992
1. The meeting was called to order by the Mayor at 7:15 P.M.
Those in attendance were Mayor Dale White, Aldermen Sherry
Dudley, Jerry Moore, and Fred Held, Town Engineer Bud
Hauptmann, Town Attorney, Paul Isham, and Town Planners,
Roland Jackson and Dennis Wilson. Also in attendance were
members of the Planning and Zoning Commission, Scott Bradley,
B.J. Minyard and Randall Loftis; Eldridge Goins, Jr.; Jim
Morris; D.K. Ekstrom and Rusty Trenary.
2. The minutes were read by Paul C. Isham and were adopted as
read.
3. Item number one, public hearing on Comprehensive Plan was
called by the Mayor. The Mayor suggested that the public
hearing be continued to April 6, 1992 or some other future
date. Fred Held moved that the hearing be continued to April
6, 1992 or some other future date, Jerry Moore seconded the
motion and it passed unanimously.
4. The next item, contract with Hogan Corporation for a master
water and wastewater plan for the Town was considered. Mr.
Hogan's contract is for $9,600.00. Jerry Moore moved that the
contract with Hogan Corporation be approved, Sherry Dudley
seconded and it passed unanimously.
5. The next item, agreement for advancement of funds by Hillwood
Development Corporation for the Rhonda Decker -Chandler
condemnation proceeding was considered. The Mayor had signed
a letter dated February 19, 1992, stating that the Town would
reimburse Hillwood for the monies advanced up to amount
reimbursed by State. Jerry Moore moved that the Board ratify
the action of the Mayor and approve the February 19, 1992
letter, it was seconded by Sherry Dudley and passed
unanimously.
The Board took a recess at 7:20 P.M.
The Board reconvened at 7:26 P.M.
6. The Board recessed into an executive session pursuant to
Article 6252-17 at 7:27 P.M. to discuss pending litigation,
the lawsuit between R. Carter Pate and the Town of Westlake.
The Board reconvened into open session at 9:20 P.M.
7. There being no further business to be considered by the Board,
the meeting was adjourned at 9:21 P.M.
