MEETING OF THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN
TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS
A Regular Meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake,
Texas was held on the 10th day of December, 1990 at the Dudley
Ranch in the Town of Westlake, Texas. The following were present:
Dale L. White, Mayor Absent: Howard Dudley,
Alvin F. Oien, Mayor Pro Tem Alderman
Sherry Dudley, Alderman
Jerry Moore, Alderman
Carroll Huntress, Alderman
Gerry White, Secretary
Paul C. Isham, Town Attorney
Sanford "Bud" Hauptmann, Town Engineer
Scott Bradley, Chairman, Planning & Zoning
The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read by the Secretary and
approved as read.
The seconded item on the agenda, discussion with IBM/Maguire
Thomas representatives, was addressed first. Mr. Richard Kuhlman
and Mr. Edward Walts were present to address the Board. There was
discussion between Mr. Kuhlman, Mr. Walts and the Board regarding
the proposed Phase II in the IBM/Maguire Thomas developement.
No action was taken.
Item #1. Consideration of a contract between the Town of West-
lake and the Tarrant County Health Department regarding Food
Establishment and Public Swimming Pool inspection services. Motion
made by Alderman Jerry Moore to approve the contract between the
Town and Tarrant County Health Department. Motion was seconded
by Alderman Alvin Oien, voted on and carried unanimously.
Item #3. Consideration of a franchise with GTE. Motion made
by Alderman Jerry Moore to table . Motion seconded by Alderman
Sherry Dudley and carried by unanimous vote.
Item #4. Executive Session. The Board convened in executive
session at 8:37 p.m. to consult with its attorney in regard to
the lawsuit filed by R. Carter Pate, Liquidating Trustee, against
the Town. The executive session closed at 10:00 p.m.
After reconvening in open session at 10:01 p.m. and there being
no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was
adjourned.
