MEETING OF THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN
TOWN OF WESTLAKE, TEXAS
A Regular Meeting of the Board of Aldermen of the Town of Westlake, Texas
was held at 7:00 p.m. on the 16th day of October, 1989 at the Dudley Ranch
in the Town of Westlake, Texas. The following were present:
Absent:
Dale L. White - Mayor
Sherry Dudley, Alderman
Alvin Oien, Alderman
Jerry Moore, Alderman
Gerry White, Secretary
Scott Bradley, Chrirman, Planning and Zoning
Paul C. Isham, Town Attorney
Carroll Huntress, Alderman
Howard Dudley, Alderman
Also attending was Mr. Richard Kuhlman, representing Maguire Thomas.
The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as read by the Secretary.
Item #1. Consideration of an Ordinance amending the Town of Westlake's sign
Ordinance #159. Discussion. Alderman Alvin Oien made a motion that signs
and display cases situated at least 100 feet from the -street may be illuminated
to a maximum allowable foot lambert level of 50. Motion was seconded by
Alderman Jerry Moore, voted on and carried unanimously.
Motion was made by Alderman Alvin Oien, seconded by Alderman Sherry Dudley to
pass and approve Ordinance #178, an Ordinance amending Ordinance #159, the
Comprehensive Outdoor Sign Ordinance. Motion carried by unanimous vote.
Item #2. No action was taken on the contract with the Quality Wrecker Service.
Motion by Alderman Sherry Dudley, seconded by Alderman Jerry Moore to instruct
the Secretary to pay the Town's 1990 dues to Metroport Cities. Alderman Dudley
and Alderman Moore voted yes. Alderman Oien voted no. Motion carried by
majority.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was
adjourned.
